I have a 2004 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail. Noise on deceleration and also as accelerate in the same rpm range. This happens most when the engine is hot.

Question edited to add Maker. Question moved to year make model category. No description of the noise. Does it should like timing chain rattle? Maybe the tensioners are worn? Check the oil level as well. https://www.google.com/search?q=2004+harley+davidson+flstc+heritage+softail+tensioner+timing+chain ..

P0373 error code

If you look through the codes any good Tech will tell you there are priory codes to components that feed data to the ECM One Code that would be the primary causing the secondary effects like IE shutting down a bike all the second effects is loss of power. P0373 code P0374 code are both major components in the ignition fuel injection system if one fails so does the other. The CKPS is P0373 the throttle position sensor is code P0374 the crank sensor faulty part will cause a second effect to the TPS code P0374 note it is after the primary code. Hope this helps but all codes can be read just knowing the components and which one require input verses which one are information output.

I have a 2003 Harley Heritage. I attempted to start it up yesterday and when I did, I here the starter solonoid engage with a klunk but then all power was lost. I attempted to fine the problem but w

Right off the first thought that comes to me is that the battery terminals need to be cleaned so that there is a good connection when you attempt to draw current to the starter motor. Have you checked the battery voltage when you engage the starter motor? The next check in my mind would be to measure the voltage at both the battery terminals and the connections to the battery when attempting to start the motor. Just a clunk sounds like there is a high resistance in the circuit when you try to start the motor. If the battery voltage drops when you try to start either the connections or the battery need attention.

I have 2004 heritage, I have no running lights on rear lights, fuses all ok, all other lights ok, any thoughts would be helpful.

Hi Fred: I'd probably start by using a voltmeter and checking for power, starting at the fuse, and then pulling a bulb and checking at the pin in the center of the socket. If you have power, use the continuity meter and check the outside of the socket to ground. Chances are that the ground may be the problem. If there is no power at the socket, but there is at the fuse, the problem will be a disconnected wire. Hope this helps. Cheerfuls.

Why does my 2004 heritage motorcycle cut out at certain speeds?

Hi Douglas: I'd first be thinking ignition rather than fuel, so would be checking those components. Working from the basics like battery condition, connections, condition of switches, grounds, through to things that require a Harley mechanic.
