2005 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI Electra Glide Ultra Classic - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
2007 hd ultra glide auxillary fuse keeps blowing
Sounds like you have shorted wire(s) underneath the fairing where most of the wiring is located. If you have had work done on the bike lately like radio installed, etc, many times the cause lies in bad routing of wiring. Left turn signal is selected from handlebar switch, tach I believe is fed off aux fuse when key is on while the lights inside it are wired to light circuit. Do a visual inspection of wires , usually turns up wires routed wrong.

Drive belt installation 2000 electreaglid classic
Remove the rear wheel and then remove the primary chain, the clutch, the engine compensating sprocket, and the chain adjuster as an assembly and then remove the primary chaincase housing. Support the bike under the rear fork and engine and then remove the pivot shaft and the spacer THEN slip the belt off the transmission sprocket and then install a new drive belt over the transmission sprocket and proceed to reinstall the pivot shaft and spacer after which you can remove the support holding the engine and rear fork and install the primary chaincase housing, the primary chain assembly and the primary chaincase cover and fill the primary chaincase with lubricant up to the bottom of the clutch diaphragm spring. Install the rear wheel and adjust the belt to the proper deflection dimension and confirm that the rear wheel is properly aligned side to side.

My starter is not coming on when I turn the key. Is there a fuse ?
there is a 30 amp fuse down by the swing arm and that fuse blows and won't allow your bike to start or do anything. You change that and it will start. Check for corrosion or frayed wiring on that fuse because sometimes it comes loose and rubs against your belt and causes it to short out.

Will not idle when hot
If carbureted, sounds like carb adjustment- if fuel injected sounds like a fuel pressure problem

My 05 flhtcui ultra is having aproblem with the oil light coming on and pressure on gauge reading 0 but has good oil pressure ,i have put a new sending unit on it and a new gauge
Oil pressure must be checked with an external gauge that you connect to the same point as the oil pressure sending unit. With the engine at normal operating temperature (hot after 30 min spin), at 2500 rpm or above, oil pressure should be above 20 PSI up to around 30 PSI. It may go as low as 5 PSI on idle with a hot engine but should increase as soon as motor comes off idle. Oil viscosity and ambient temperature will affect oil pressure. If your experiencing this problem only with a hot engine, you may have a big problem in the timing chest. Inner cam bearings are known to collapse (these are smaller than 2007 MY) and the rollers enter the oil pump, thrashing it and causing low oil pressure. If the external gauge (use one that goes to 60 PSI or there abouts) shows correct pressures, then your sender unit, wiring or gauge is faulty. Check this as soon as possible as I have seen engines completely thrashed over this. Ruined engine cases (cam bearing completely disintegrates and cam shaft starts running on parent metal), big ends gone, pistons and barrels, oil pump and cam plate, tappet followers, the list goes on and on. On one engine I have done, I was only able to use the cylinder heads, push rods and covers. Everything else I had to replace. If you find this bearing damaged, make sure that the oil pan is removed and washed out as rollers are picked up by the scavenge side of oil pump and 'pumped' to oil pan, ruining oil pump in the process, sucked back to oil pump and screwing the pressure side, damaging the cam plate, and on and on.

2005 harley ultra classic voltge inoperative
All four gauges are wired using common supply and ground connections. Oil, Voltage, Temperature and Fuel. If two gauges are not working and stopped at the same time, then I would start by removing the outer fairing and checking the wiring harness. If gauges stopped working at different times, then it is likely either the senders have gone faulty or the gauges themselves.
