I had to take mine to a man in Berwick and he did it for me really cheap. He has his own place. If I find his name I will send it to you. He charges less than half of everyone else.

your crank case oil lubricates all of your internals including your clutch pack! if your crankcase oil is full and you clutch doesn't work still drain you oil and remove the right side crankcase cover that is where your clutch pack resides remove the clutch basket and check the clutch pack plates for ware they may need replacement! Empty your gas tank and start with fresh gas good chance your carburetors are gummed up from stale gas which will make it run rough and usually loose the ability to idle! as for your font brake check to make sure the master cylinder for it is topped up with fluid is so try bleeding it if after bleeding the brakes no improvement is noticed remove the front brake assembly pull the pads off and check to see if there is any movement in the calipers themselves they may have seized from sitting! and there is no honda virago, virago is a yamaha and i think if u have an 82 xv its a yamaha virago

Hi, Mike before diagnosing any brake light issue always check the bulb and fuse first for integrity a brake light staying on is usually caused by the front brake light switch, which is mechanical, not disengaging. On early models moving the throttle control housing closer to the front brake master cylinder is the main fix. On late models, the switch gets tweaked and needs to be realigned. A brake light that does not come on when the brake lever is applied can be caused by a faulty switch or no continuity in the wiring at the switch. The rear brake light switch is hydraulic and it is extremely rare to malfunction in a closed circuit condition causing the brake light to stay on. Usually, rear brake light switch issues are caused by no brake pedal free play or a sticky rear master cylinder piston. A brake light that does not come on when the rear brake pedal is depressed can be caused by a faulty switch, air contamination in the brake line, or no continuity in the wiring at the switch. Finally, most tail light wiring harnesses run under the rear fender held in place by spot welded clips. Worn out rear shocks or lowered suspension can bottom out causing the rear tire to come in contact with the wiring harness, rubbing the insulation off, exposing the bare metal inner core, allowing it to break or short out.

i assume you mean you run it with the choke closed?? if so i would think some carb passages are blocked and not flowing fuel correctly. either really clean the carb passages or just simply replace the carb

ya gotta ask yourself WHY do I want to do that?
Even if it is possible, it is a giant leap backwards.
I will guess that it is not possible unless you want to build the parts required. But it may still not be possible.

Batt must b 12.6v no less..check alternator connection or the chargn wire. Make sure carb n compression r normal. Put some marine fuel cleanr in tank

Honda... | Answered on Oct 21, 2019

No, it's most likely a fuel related issue. First make sure you don't have the kill switch engaged.
Check the fuel filter and replace if old or dirty.
Then with the fuel petcock turned on open the drain screws on the carbs to be sure clean fuel flows from both of them. If it doesn't you have a blockage somewhere and disassembly of the fuel system and or carburetors may be called for. Start tracing the fuel path to see how far it is getting. You might have rust, water or other crud in your tank plugging things up.
