On my 1994 fireblade which way should the fuel tap

Start with the fuel tap (called a petcock) in the horizontal position. This is pointing toward the back of the bike, and it is in the "off" position. Turning it counter-clockwise to point up is "on," and turning it clockwise to down is "reserve."

Normally, you'll want to run the bike with the petcock set to on, and save the reserve for the emergency situation when you run out of fuel.

Broken Gear

heyii there is a shaft coming ut of the engine crank that connects to your transmission shaft which drives your gears and hence wheels.. so your 2nd gear must have worn out and for that reason the gear isn't working well.. get your gear box opened and check the gear.. I have a 94 cbr900rr and i was riding it for about

Measure the voltage of the battery.
Of and on. It should never be higher than 15V.
Had the same problem whit my cbr900rr -94.
If the voltage ( at 2500rpm) is higher than 15volts it's the reg/rec unit.
Change the regulator/rectifier unit.
Bye a new battery and the problem is solved!

Key cylinder

If you mean you need to replace the main switch on your CBR, and it has never been removed before, I believe you will come across two headless bolt that holds the main key switch. Take off your top yoke and unplug the main switch's cable and take it to a workshop to remove the bolts. After placing on the new main switch, use common bolt so that you can remove them yourself next time.

Need to replace key cylinder

It is very hard and delicate job to disassemble a motorcycle's main switch. Better take it to a locksmith.

How much oil should I

Thank you for the inquiry.
10w, 120ml
Tip: You can purchase a graduated oil measuring cup at most bike shops. It's a real help for measuring and pouring. Fork oil containers have a see through measuring means on the sides but are messy to pour out of. Handy in the garage for other things as well.

Starts, runs when i shut

Hi
then you look at the cables that attach to the battery, the better the positive battery cable that lands on a black box with a red connector. what it usually is "roasted" 'cause faulty contact between the tabs (male-female) oxide can usually do ... or is it current controller and that 'that sort of plate with two holes for screws M6 or M5 on the side that goes to the dogs ... changing it and finding it on ebay or other sites or ads you should see it

Got problem with my 1994 Honda cbr900rr , 1 spark

It almost sounds like your piston is slightly hitting the spark plug by your description. Does the bike stall once the damage occurs and how extensive is it? If thats the case, are you sure your using the exact plug that is specified for that bike? If you go to a shorter style plug that might solve your problem. Its a place to start.

Front brake lever has zero resistance, and does

I would suspect a faulty brake cylinder or air in the cylinder. Remove filler cap from cylinder on handlebar and quickly squeeze the handle, watching inside that cylinder for bubbles and fluid movement. If neither are present then you may have a bad master cylinder and need to replace it.If you have air, then you'll need to get a master cylinder bleeder kit and bleed the air out of the master cylinder. The bleeder kit will have specific instructions on exactly how to bleed master cylinder. Also - if, when you remove that cap, it looks like oil floating in the reservoir then somebody mixed brake fluids and wasted the o-rings and rubber in the front brake system - this is really bad and you'll need to replace all rubber seals and hoses for the front brake system as well as flush the system with the proper fluid.

Hi, Just bought a 1994 CBRR

It sounds like a problem with the charging circuit. You should be able to ride with your lights on!
The first thing to do is put a multimeter set to DC Volts across the battery with the engine running. Are you seeing more than 13.5 volts? If not there is a charging problem. It could be the regulator/rectifier or the stator windings, or just loose electrical connections if you are very lucky. I have a manual for the 900 Fireblade (I used to have a 98 Blade) so let me know if you need anymore help.
