pull your carbs and clean then, most important, pull your jets and run a wire from a wire brush them. Ethanol from the gas most likely has clogged them.
It sat in my shed
The battery is probably low. Is a handlebar or side stand kill switch on?

if you can get it apart then yes you can adjust it,,otherwise you should just replace the defective speedo.

Without looking at it myself, check to make sure the brake pads arent locked down on the rotors, you may think its in neutral but with out juice to the bike you cant see the neutral light. Can you charge, or put power to the battery/cables to check neutral light? If the pads arent locked down on the rotors, sit on the bike and while rocking back and forth go thru the gears and see if you can find true neutral, and or get it to move. Also might want to check the chain to make sure it isnt rusted tight to sprockets. Best guesses with out being there :]
I purchased a 1983 Honda
On your 1983 CB750SC you will have to remove your side covers. Be careful to put a fingers on both sides of the side cover tabs (a finger on either side of the side cover pin) when pulling off the side covers . They can break off easily on this model. Locate the two bolts holding the back of the seat down and take them off with a 12mm socket. Lift the back of the seat, pull it towards the back of the bike, and lift it off. The battery is underneath the driver seat and lifts straight up.

Carburetor problem or ?
1975
Be certain that fuel is getting into the float bowl on the bad carb. If so, and the fuel level is at the correct height, the problem would be either the slide is not raising as it should, the main jet is plugged up or there is a blockage in the air clearer/manifold.
The compression is good so a valve can't be stuck. You said you have spark. The only thing left is a fuel problem or air problem. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
Lost oil pressure
Replace the oil pressure sender to make sure the pump has gone out. If you replace the sender and the light goes out your oil pump is OK. If you crank the motor a few times and the light does not go out you will have to do what is necessary to replace the oil pump and any parts that were damaged when it went out. Always start with the cheap stuff first see if the sender fixes the problem.
How to take apart forks on cb 750 k7
It is easiest to take apart your forks with them mounted on the bike. put the bike on the center stand. Remove the front wheel. Unbolt the calipers and hang with wire. Unbolt the fender and remove. Now reach up into the hole in the bottom of the fork with a hex key/allen wrench and loosen the socket bolts but do not remove. Now unbolt the handle bars and rest on a towel (just move back out of the way, you should not need to unhook everything) Remove the air crossover tube and unscrew the fork tops. Be careful some fork tops are under spring pressure. Now put a pan under the fork tube and finish removing the socket bolt and sealing washer , oil will come out. You should now be able to slide the lower tube off the upper tube. You will probably need a seal removal tool. Reassembly is reverse of this, remember to snug the socket bolt and sealing washer, then add measured amount of oil. Socket bolt can only be tightened after top cap has been put back on with spring tension..
My bike ran fine last year before I stored it for
Recommisioning the engine...
Drain the old fuel - if any remnants of the old fuel are in there it will make it run poorly.
Give it a full petrol can of premium 97RON fuel fresh from the station.
Make sure the spark plugs are all clean -
Check all the HT leads and coils for good connection -
Make sure the battery is FULLY charged -
Check the oil level and quality - if it is black or smells strongly of fuel then change it before trying to start it -
---
Check out the air filter and airbox, you could have spiders webs and all sorts in there after a year - if the air filter is damp or mouldy or just plain dirty change it.
---
Now with all the above satisfied it should start and run properly if there are no faults - if it runs "quite good" I'd take it for a ride, get the engine up to normal running temp and go for a ride, it may fix itself with a bit of a thrash.
---
If it still is giving trouble I will help further - have to find the workshop manual for you first, but try this out and comment back with the results and i'll get the docs out if theres still a problem.

The battery is accessed by removing the right side cover. Just tug gently on each corner and it should pop off. To remove the seat, locate the two bolts, one on each side near the rear of the seat. With the two bolts removed, lift the seat up and back to remove it.
