The bike just backfires i

Honda motorcycle suffers from sticky valve stems. this causes the intake valve to still be closing when combustion occurs - and a second explosion occurs in the manifold - which you hear as a back-fire. 2 oz Mega Power Gas Treatment #93 in the fuel and 6 oz Mega Power Engine Tune Up in the oil and a couple 500 mile oil filter changes- each with 6 oz Mega Power Engine Tune Up in the new oi. I run both all the time to keep the problem away. Get the products for your cars and your bike. Source: http://www.auto-tune-up-and-repair-options.com/worn-motor-treatment.html

I have a 1999

definately need to purge your fuel system, fluch the tank real well and make sure there is no rust inside, and yes you will have to do a thorough carb clean, use parts cleaner and clean and **** every jet and port and make sure you clean them really well. only thing to be careful of is when you **** the jets and ports to not force and **** into the holes you dont want to accidently bore out your jets to a bigger size.

Join the 2wires on the unit under the rubber caps with a pair of insulated pliers you may get a spark as you bridge the gap, you should only hold the pliers here for a couple of seconds at the most, the engine should turn over, whilst you do this,if it does not, the battery is not charged suficiantly, this unit is the starter solenoide a magnetic switch which allows 12volts to pass through when you press the start button bridging the wires simply avoids the need for pressing the button, you may also check the side stand is in the up position, the bike is out of gear and the clutch lever is pulled in, does this bike have HISS imobiliser

I have a CBR 918

Let's look at the easiest thing first. Have you checked the bulbs? Turn signal bulbs may be burned out.

Next thing is are there any wiring problems you know about (obvious/visible damage)?

Is it the front and back not working or just front or rear? If it's all of them, your flasher may be clicking, but not actually working.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
It's definitely the temp sending unit or temperature sensor. If the sensor is faulty it tends not to move. Have it replaced and you'll be good.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Hoo.cwiring diagram for 93 honda

THIS DEPENDS ON WHETHER YOUR RECTIFIER HAS 5/ OR 7 WIRES, SIMPLE ENOUGH THOUGH , YOU WILL SEE THREE YELLOW WIRES THESE WILL COME FROM THE AC SIDE OF THE GENERATOR ON THE ENGINE TO THE RECTIFIER, IT IS HERE THE AC, ALTERNATING CURRENT IS CHANGED TO DIRECT CURRENT DC IS USED FOR STARTING THE BIKE, AND PROVIDING POWER FOR LIGHTS ETC, YOU WILL THEN FIND 1 OR 2 GREENS, GREEN IS THE BIKES EARTH ON OLDER HONDAS, SO PUT THESE WIRES TO A GOOD EARTHING POINT ON THE BIKE OR WIRE INTO THE LOOM , YOU WILL TEN FIND 1 OR 2 REDS, AS RED IS THE DC OUTPUT FROM THE RECTIFIER YOU WILL NEED TO CONNECT THIS TO THE POSOTIVE+SIDE OF THE BATTERY

I have a 95 900rr

To check the stator, you should have continuity between all three yellow wires and no continuity between any yellow wires and ground. If the stator tests good you probably need the regulator/rectifier.
