definately need to purge your fuel system, fluch the tank real well and make sure there is no rust inside, and yes you will have to do a thorough carb clean, use parts cleaner and clean and **** every jet and port and make sure you clean them really well. only thing to be careful of is when you **** the jets and ports to not force and **** into the holes you dont want to accidently bore out your jets to a bigger size.

Next to my battery is
Join the 2wires on the unit under the rubber caps with a pair of insulated pliers you may get a spark as you bridge the gap, you should only hold the pliers here for a couple of seconds at the most, the engine should turn over, whilst you do this,if it does not, the battery is not charged suficiantly, this unit is the starter solenoide a magnetic switch which allows 12volts to pass through when you press the start button bridging the wires simply avoids the need for pressing the button, you may also check the side stand is in the up position, the bike is out of gear and the clutch lever is pulled in, does this bike have HISS imobiliser
I have a CBR 918
Let's look at the easiest thing first. Have you checked the bulbs? Turn signal bulbs may be burned out.
Next thing is are there any wiring problems you know about (obvious/visible damage)?
Is it the front and back not working or just front or rear? If it's all of them, your flasher may be clicking, but not actually working.
My cbr900 rr fireblade temp
Hi and welcome to FixYa!
It's definitely the temp sending unit or temperature sensor. If the sensor is faulty it tends not to move. Have it replaced and you'll be good.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
Hoo.cwiring diagram for 93 honda
THIS DEPENDS ON WHETHER YOUR RECTIFIER HAS 5/ OR 7 WIRES, SIMPLE ENOUGH THOUGH , YOU WILL SEE THREE YELLOW WIRES THESE WILL COME FROM THE AC SIDE OF THE GENERATOR ON THE ENGINE TO THE RECTIFIER, IT IS HERE THE AC, ALTERNATING CURRENT IS CHANGED TO DIRECT CURRENT DC IS USED FOR STARTING THE BIKE, AND PROVIDING POWER FOR LIGHTS ETC, YOU WILL THEN FIND 1 OR 2 GREENS, GREEN IS THE BIKES EARTH ON OLDER HONDAS, SO PUT THESE WIRES TO A GOOD EARTHING POINT ON THE BIKE OR WIRE INTO THE LOOM , YOU WILL TEN FIND 1 OR 2 REDS, AS RED IS THE DC OUTPUT FROM THE RECTIFIER YOU WILL NEED TO CONNECT THIS TO THE POSOTIVE+SIDE OF THE BATTERY
I have a 95 900rr
To check the stator, you should have continuity between all three yellow wires and no continuity between any yellow wires and ground. If the stator tests good you probably need the regulator/rectifier.
Temperature affecting ignition
Hi ,
One thing you can try :
Change your spark plugs to a cooler type which will help the bike to run cooler and will eliminate the start dificulties when hot . You will notice that in winter time it will be harder to start but at that time you may swap back to the other plugs .
Try that to start with and let me know how you go .
My 1998 cbr 900 has
Well its definetly not a carb issue as you said.
It probably is a bearing or clutch related problem.

My 1996 900rr wont start. I check to see if it
Yes,
You could remove the CDI box/ignition module and take it to a motorcycle repair shop for testing.
It is usually located under the tank.
Inspect the plug-wires too for breakage.
Replace the spark-plugs for a racing brand.
I have a 'knocking '
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
A most likely suspect would be a kinked chain link where the joint has lost its internal lubrication and therefore does not 'bend'. This is more pronounced (and therefore heard) on the front sprocket being of a smaller diameter where the chain would have to wrap itself / bend more tightly. The kink was there already for some time and can now be heard since the slack was lessened when the chain was tightened.
You could try re-lubricating (even if it is O-ring) but a replacement would be better. Depending on the kms it may even be a better idea to inspect the sprockets and consider a set replacement.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
Honda 500 TRX fa6 has PS on the dash….what does it mean ?
The Power Steering has failed. There has been a factory recall for a suddenly failing electrical steering shaft, that could cause the rider to loose control. This does not have to be your problem but anyhow either the electronics or the pump failed. Error codes or messages usually have to be erased by a simple reset procedure or disconnecting a plug, after repairs are done.
