How do you remove the ignition switch from 1999 Honda CG125
Usually large cir-clip or nuts an bolts, why don't you get one from a breakers? anyhow there's a bit off stuff to come off it before you'll see what your doing, make sure its possible to remove it with or without steering lock on or off. The barrel can usually be separated from the switch but be careful not to take summit apart that wont go back again. A clever engineer would be able to use an old CG125 key and make your barrel fit that key! But alas i'm not blessed with a good locksmiths skills. Good luck - the Yeti

1980 honda cg 125 wont start
look under the seat and along the side panels for wear signs on the cable loom , Sounds like something important has grounded itself to the frame , hence the battery discharging and loss of ignition ,

I expect the lack of back pressure from the new exhaust pipe will have a lot to do with it. If there is not enough back pressure, the reed valves won't work properly and no fuel will enter the engine.
Try the old exhaust system to find out.
Rear break sticks to drum
replace the shoes with the newer updated shoes that have a new material that is less prone to this problem, sand the brake drum to roughen it up and remove any type of oily residue that may be on the drum surface, spray off everything with brake clean before putting it all back together.
09 CRV starting problem
No damage. If it doesn't lock at all, then the lock mechanism is broken. Otherwise you are fine.
For a rough running vehicle, there is a lot of stuff to check. Fuel pressure with fuel pressure tester, vacuum hose testing for air leaks, Spark test to see if you are getting plenty of spark to all cylinders. Plugs and Wires do go bad. I replace every 7500 miles. I recommend my customers to do the same. Also any faulty sensor can cause engine to run rough as well. If a sensor was faulty, the check engine light should be on.
Honda PC50 moped VIN decoder
To read the serial number on a Honda PC50 moped, follow these steps:
Locate the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): The VIN is a unique code that provides information about your moped. On a Honda PC50, you can find the VIN in the following places:
Under the Air Filter Cover: Look on the left-hand side, just above the engine. The VIN should be stamped there. It typically looks like this: PC50 - 1234567.
Frame Number: The frame number is another term for the VIN. It's usually located near the air filter body.
Decode the VIN: The VIN contains important details about your moped, including the year of manufacture. Here's how to interpret it:
The 9th digit of the VIN is a check digit.
The 10th digit represents the year code. For example:
A = 1980
B = 1981
C = 1982
D = 1983
E = 1984
F = 1985
G = 1986
H = 1987
J = 1988
K = 1989
L = 1990
M = 1991
N = 1992
P = 1993
R = 1994
S = 1995
T = 1996
V = 1997
W = 1998
X = 1999
1 = 2000
2 = 2001
3 = 2002
Note that if your scooter was manufactured between February 1986 and February 1987, it's likely to be a '87 model;
Additional Resources:
If you have the full VIN, you can use the NHTSA VIN decoder to get detailed information about your moped.
Alternatively, you can call Honda with your VIN, and they will provide you with the necessary information.
