Honda fit how to fit a rear hugger to a vfr
Interesting question. About the only thing I can think of would be to cut away the right side of the hugger, to simulate the one-sided swingarm. You would ideally like to keep as much of the "front edge" of the hugger as possible since the right side has no place to attach. I'm not sure how strong the particular "hugger" piece you have/looking at is. I f I remember correctly they are usually the same material as the stock fenders. somewhat rigid but not completely. You may get some flapping at speed, but would still get some of the benefit of the hugger. You might have to try a couple of different "profile cuts" on the open side, leaving as much material as possible to retain the rigidity (to help reduce flapping).
Vfr 800 fi
Hi pakie
the Fi light is fuel injection or ignition fault check fuse to ecu or engine stop relay and stop switch. Poss fault on angle sensor although unusual. If the light is flashing its a case of counting flashes to get fault code worse case is ECU fault
Turn signal is not working correctly
Hi John I don't know if you have sorted your problem ? But I would check the wiring behind the switch for corrosion or broken wire if that is ok, I would test the switch for continuity you would require a multi meter, to check for voltage on both sides of the switch, failing that you would probably need a new switch,
Hi ihave a vrf 800 2000 and my F1 and oil lights
FI stands
for Fuel Injection. The fuel system sensors have detected a problem. It could
be anything > a dirty air filter restricting airflow, a plugged
injector, an error in fuel mapping, any number of things. Serious
problems can trigger the computer to prevent the engine from starting
until the problem is fixed. You will need to take the bike to a dealer to have
them plug in a code reader. The code reader will tell you exactly what problem
has been detected. There is also a chance a sensor has gone bad and is
giving a false signal. Keep that in mind. Now determine if you want to do the
fix or have the dealer do it. Please

When riding my bike the FI light comes on and its
your fi light is telling you a code. your local bike shop can pull the code up and tell you what it is. as for your radiator cap i'm going to give a link to the micro phish and part numbers. http://fiche.worldofpowersports.com/wps/Honda_OEM/HondaMC.asp?Type=12&A=315
this will take you right to your bikes parts break downs. your rad cap is going to be on the left hand side under the body panel, if you need anything else please feel free to contact me
Good Luck

Placed a new battery in my 2002 vfr800 it hasnt
The on board Fuel Injection ( FI ) sensors have detected a major fault in the injection system. Minor faults will alert you of a problem but still let the engine run. Major faults will not let the engine run. Take the bike to a dealer so they can plug in a fault reader to find exactly what the problem is. Be aware that the problem may actually be a bad sensor.
How do you replace a screen on a VFR 800
to replace screen
1) you will need to take the mirrors out
2) there are screws in the center (accessible once the mirror is out) - they need to be taken out
3) Dashboard light covers need to come out too
the screen should slide off
Change front brakes pads
Unbolt centre bolt using a Hex key until it comes off.
Use a screw driver to force the pads to push the brake piston.to release more space, pull off the old pad one after the other. reverse instllation process to install.
Good enough?
Chane slack
Slacken the wheel nut a couple of turns ,then simply adjust tension with the chain adjusters at the rear of the swingarm legs.
Look carefully you will see notches marked on both sides of the swingarm by the wheel spindle these must be the same on both sides, your manual will tell you the chain slack for your bike.probably about 25-35mm put a ruler up to the chain and using finger pressure push up on the chain ,this is the chain slack.
Once done tighten the wheel nut up to correct torque setting.( manual or call local dealer),then replace split pin with new through the wheel nut.
Double check all your work no loose nuts, then sit on the bike get a friend to wiggle the chain there should be small slack as first meashured 25-35mm again, if not re-try,once experienced you will do it first time.
Suddenly High Beam is dead on 2000 vfr. Both bulbs
Obviously headlights can fail but if you are sure this is not it then get an electrical meter and check for the voltage coming out when in low beam and then high beam. If this tests OK, you have a ground or bad bulbs.
