Rear shock is very hard , hardly any give but

If a big guy used to own the bike,he probably wound the rear spring tension up.Have a look at the rear shock and you will see a large threaded section on the main part of the shocky. It has a plate going around it that the spring sits on.This has to be wound away from the spring to ease up the preload on the spring. On your model,I am not sure about the front settings.Hope this helps

What is the oil to gas ratio supposed to be for a

32:1 is the official ratio

If you run it hard or wide open all the time you can go as high as 25:1 so you have more oil to keep the engine cool and oiled. If you putz around on it then you can go as low as 40:1 so you don't foul plugs and less smoke.

I have a 2002 CR 125. Runs great but has black

The mixture screw is used to get the transition from idle to throttle up smooth, and not to bog.
Sounds like your jetting is to rich, or too big. Read your plug as it's probably black. Then go smaller on your pilot jet, run it and read it again. Make sure you run 32:1 mix, and jet the bike to match this.

How do you adjust the clutch on a 2002 honda cr80,

You should have a little free motion at the cable when the lever is all the way out. This is so the clutch won't drag. If your adjustment seems good, and you have changed your tranmission oil, you might have an issue with the clutch worn out.

Hi ive got a 1999 cr125..got this bike a couple

Sounds like its starving for fuel. When the engine stops, instantly turn the fuel valve (at the tank) off. Then ck if the carburetor has any fuel in the float bowl.

No spark on a honda cr 85

Purchase a shop manual from local dealership and in that will have all the ohms resistances in there. Test all electrical components before buying anything to be certain it is what you need.

My bike will not **** into 4th!! it goes into all

The bike has a bent shift fork. The engine comes out and the top end gets dismantled then the gearbox dismantles and then splits in half. Now the gear sets come out and you can get to the shift drum and shift forks. I don't recommend a complete engine tear-down be done if you don't have the special tools needed and some serious experience. The shop will fix it for $750 to $1250. Bummer. If you do try the repair, don't start without a factory service manual.

Honda 4 stroke, correct? It sounds like you have the valve timing off. Put a compression gauge on it and if you have 0 compression ,you shou;d reck your valve timing. Good Luck

Not firing

Check the CDI-box. Then the spark-plug wire. You could remove the tank and the seat to see the CDI-box.

Stars and runs no prob. splutters and stutters in

If this is something that just started, I'd check the spark plug and ignitions system first. Then move to the air filter and carburetor. Check the silencer in the pipe to see if it's clogged up.

I have a 94 cr 125 , that i just bought , it

Try a compression test first see what it is, next check for spark, remove plug from engine leave connected, ground the end of the plug to the engine and kick over, if you have good compression and spark, it is in the carburation, some bikes dont start well when cold due to bad carburation(air leaks, bad jets etc)you could try roll starting down hill and see if it starts.

I put a new shifter on my honda 125cc motorcross

Did your bike shift gears prior to installing the new shift lever? Why did you replace the lever? If the bike was dropped and the shift lever damaged, the shifting mechanism inside the engine may have been damaged as well. This mechanism will probably be on the primary drive side of the engine and you'll probably have to pull the clutch drum to get to it.
