Sounds like carburator is gummed up, most people when they clean a carb they blow it out but fail to soak it in carb cleaner and even then I have found if you don't use some type of wire or torch tip cleaners jets and passages are still plugged up... I have personally seen this many time and it come back to carburation.

10w-40, I'd recommend a full synthetic like Amsoil. Stay away from "energy conserving" oils, they have additives the clutch won't tolerate. API ratings of SL/CF,SJ,SH are acceptable. Good luck!

the 3 settings are - middle to start bike then down is off, up is on,

check for full charge battery,all fuses good and a ground to the negative.Voltage regulator output to system should be above 12 volts just above idol rpm..

sounds like a fuel problem i had similer but on a ktm, the floots were kncoked when i fell, i wer'nt filling the bowl properly also knocked a jet lose, aswell as causing a little **** in the bottom of the intake flange (bit what attaches the carb to the head) this would enable the bike to start but because of the **** wouldnt let enough fuel through to keep the bike going aswell as a air leak. may help you may not.

dont use 10 wieght its stiff as can be i recomend 7.5 or 5 wieght but a quart in each fork will do.

The 1st thing to try is change the spark plug
Also drain the carb by way of the drain screw at the bottom of the carb bowl

two reasons are that you have either slightly bent your front wheel /or front forks or both even the slightest damage to either of these can throw the handling and steering the best thing to do is visit your local bike dealer and have the aliignment checked /before you do that though raise the front wheel off the ground and check for play in wheel bearings hold the suspension with one hand so the steering doesnt turn then with other hand pull and push wheel from side to side if it rocks it will be the bearings

me id start by looking real close at the wires to and from the head and tail lamps and handle switches , then id go farther at looking inside the head and tail lamp housings for say water or a rusty or damaged wire , finnaly arriving at looking at the battery voltage with a voltmeter when im reving engine this shouldn't go over say 12.8 volts if it does your voltage regulator is defective and is damaging all your bulbs
