2008 cbf 250 engine noise
I have one of these and found it to be a weak cam chain tensioner and it was the same prob on my mates cbf250. I converted mine to a manual tensioner. Now it sounds lovely.
You can see what we did on www.bikesandtravels.co.uk in the repair and restoration section
Where are the earthing points on the frame/ engine
frame or engine should be connected to negative on battery. therefore connect to the frame or engine and you have your earth. If you think the earth is faulty make a temporary connection from engine mount to battery negative to see if that works

the only way i know of starting the bike by pushing it is to get up to 40mph

if it still dosnt start then the carb needs a clean

Hopefully, by the description, it won't be too late.

First check to make sure that both of the chokes are not sticking closed after the bike is warmed up. Also check if the throttle grip freeplay is comfortable (2--6 mm) when it sits in idling position. If both are fine then most probably the carburetor may need adjustment & should be left to a trained technician.

You have nearly answered your own question, if you have a dipstick, There should be a small mark on the lower end which will tell you not to go past
Flat battery and cant locate it
There are some older manuals for the CB250 but not your model. You should be able to get a guide from them. Most batteries are located under the seat. Have you checked? The Manuals are freebies.

2006 honda trx205 electric start will not start
its most likley the battery if flat it may still turn the light on but there is no amps in it to turn the starter witch uses a lot of power to turn the engine over recharge the battery over night and try starting it again, or try using a good jump battery with good leads to start it, also check all the battery leads and joints for bad earths and bad joints it dont take much of a bad joint to stop it getting volts to start up on,
When hot, bike intermittantly pulls back...It
Assuming that the normal tune up items have all been checked (valve adjustment, air filter, etc.) it sounds like it is running too lean. Check this by looking at the spark plug. Ideally, it should be light tan or brown in color. White indicates not enough fuel (too lean). Things that can cause this are: air leaks between the carburetor and engine, clogged fuel strainer in the petcock, float level too low, water or other sediments collected in the float bowl, modifications to the air filter box or exhaust system.
Drain the fuel from the float bowl into a clean container so you can see what has come out. If the fuel is free of moisture (water will clearly sit in the bottom of the container) and other junk, remove the float bowl (removing the carburetor from the bike first will make it much easier), check and adjust the float level.
If the above fails to solve the driveability problem, consider installing one size larger main jet in the carburetor, if available for your bike.
