My 05 crf 250r will only start when pull started

it's your intake valves honda uses a titanium intake valves while it saves .999 pounds it IS there down fall. The valves start to recesse into the head, which we know will cause the clearance to get smaller. A.P.E offers a great fix, its a rebuilt head port and polished to stage 2 specs. with stainless steal valves springs and new keepers. While your there it'll give you a chance to see how things are doing on the top end of your motor, pull your cylinder and check your rod the gasket kit comes with a base gasket too so take your and build it right. this is also a great to replace your rings and hone the cylinder or better yet put a bore job on the to do list.
Fix it right, Ride it fast!

Just want basic carb settings for my 2000 kx85

there is not much to adjust. Leave the float levels alone, they are set at the factory, leave alone the sliding needle adjustment too. All you have left, is an idle screw, and an air screw. adjustment for the air screw, turn all the way in till it stops, then 2 full turns out. mabey more , mabey less, listen for best idle. Then adjust your idle speed, thats it.

Hey ive just replaced the steering head bearings

The seal is part of the tapered rollor bearing, the seal should not be seperate, you might be able to remove it from the bearing but it technically is one piece, the part number that you should have replaced it with is 92116-1076, the number that you posted up is correct.

Wont start by kick start but will by pull start

sounds like your idle jet is clogged, remove your carb and clean idle jet cause it won't idle or kick start without it...good luck to you friend...Tim

I have a 2003 kx 85 , It has pro tech suspension ,

Stock fork seals will work but if I were you, I woudl take it to someone who has the correct tools take your fork seals out without gouging the fork leg. If your seals are leaking then chances are you're also low in fluid. Your fluid level is what decides how hard or soft your front end is (In addition to fork spring rate).

My 2003 KX 125 will not start

have the fuel **** on unhook the line into the carb make sure fuel pures. if it does reconnect. next there is a drain screw on the bottom of the carb unscrew it a few times make sure fuel flows from the bottom of the carb if it don't check your needle and seat make sure the ruber on the end of the needle isn't swelled because of the ethenol they are using in the gas now. if you have fuel. try holding your hand over the back of the carb to plug it off completely and have someone try to kick start it a couple of times. if working corectly your should get fuel on your hands and might crank. if so there is a cloged fuel mixture port etc hope this helps,

Have 1 2005 kx125 have about 6 hours on bike.

Welcome to the world of 2-strokes. It is normal to have some oil residue build up each time it runs. You have to wipe them up frequently. You could have the dealer check to be sure the oil injector is set correctly but DO NOT attempt any adjustments of your own. Always use the highest quality 2-stroke oil you can afford. Enjoy riding like a bat-out-of-hell...

I took my kx 80 out for a spin it would go up hill

If it reved realy high then quit then it sounds like you blew up the engine (sucked in air ran lean and seized up) Pull the spark plug and see if there is aluminum on the plug if there is you melted the piston.

How do i no wo model my bike is

Well if it looks like that picture, it's a dirt bike, not legal for street use. If it has head lights and blinkers, it is a dual sport. The engine size is stamped into the head. Like .125 liter or .250 liter. I think the dual sport is a KZ and the dirt bike is KX. That is Kawasaki.

How to fix a locked or stucked engine on a 1982

I guessing by the year of the motorcycle, the engine has siezed from sitting rather that an abrupt malfunction. One possible way is to use a product called Areokroil from Kano Labratories. ( http://www.kanolabs.com/ ) If you can remove the spark plugs, try pouring an ounce or two in through the plug hole into each cylinder. Even better if you can remove the heads. let that sit at least overnight or more. Depending on the severity of the siezure, it could take awhile. Then leaving the plugs out, try turning over the engine slowly by kick starter if you have that option. Do not try electric starting as that will probably cause more damage. Good luck.

Wont idle unless i havethe throttle barley turned

The idle circuit is still plugged up or it would not be giving you this problem. Remove the carb and dis-assemble it then soak the parts in denatured alcohol for 30 minutes. Then use a spray carb cleaner to finish the job. Spray into all the little holes in the carb body. Especially spray into the air screw and throttle screw holes. Reassemble the carb and LIGHTLY seat the air and throttle screws then turn each of them one and one half turns outward. This is the factory setting. Before putting the slide back into the top of the carb, move the clip on the jet needle one notch lower on the needle. This will richen the low end fuel mix. Install a new spark plug and clean the air filter. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Bike starts 3 sec then sounds like no fuel

hi,this might help, check the fuel filter, the filter on most bikes which is regularly overlooked is inside the fuel tank and is part of the fuel tap assembly,or it could be a small bowl on the bottom of the fuel tap assembly, also check that the fuel line is straight and has no kinks or folds in it,it sounds like a fuel supply problem so i would be checking the filters first, hope this helps...cheers ian

MY KFX 80 HAS 65 PSI COMPRESSION AFTER TOP END

You may have a problem with your reeds. If you have done a rebuild because something internally has destroyed itself then the chances of those loose metal fragments chipping or cracking a reed are quite high.Pull the reed block and check it out and replace if neccesary.Other than that i can only presume a problem with the rebuild.hope i've given you some direction Armstrong.....Good luck with it .
