I have the same problem with my 2006 Ktm 125sx! I am in the process of taking it apart did you find out what the problem was?

A fuel mix of 32 to 1 is the standard. That means 4 ounces of oil to one gallon of gas. Be sure to use two stroke engine oil in the gas. DO NOT use motor oil. 10w40 motor oil is for the gearbox.

Thanks for contacting FixYa. I was reviewing some of the older un-answered questions trying to ensure your issue has been resolved.

You should be able to resolve this issure by just removing the top end. You will have to remove the tank, the pipe, disconnect the carb, any water hoses, and possibly the radiator. If there is no damage to the connecting rod you be able to thoroughly clean the crankcase withough removing the engine. If you have damage to the top rod end you will have to pull the engine and split the case to replace the connecting rod.

Look on top of the piston it will be nothing = stock bore
.010 = 10 over ect
.020 is 20 thousand over stock

a compressed air hose will do it, just make sure it is wrapped in rags to catch the piston and some brake fluid that will come out.
Dont point it towards anyone when you do it.

On the right side of the engine, just to the rear of the cluch cover and just ahead of the rear brake lever spring...remove weep bolt(will have a soft metal sealing washer, usually 10mm bolt head). When full, oil should just trickle out the bolt hole with bike held upright.

Gear oil: 0.7 liters, 15w50

Coolant: 1.2 liters, 50% coolant/50% water

Ignition: 12volt, Kokusan 2k-1

Look at the slide needle--'c' clip unbroken and retainer pushed down tight. Has the 'c' clip position been changed? Try a new spark plug.

most transmission fluids on motorcycles are topped up until it is full if it has a side filling hole (stars to run out of side) with motorcycle level (like on ceneterstand). a top filling hole will have a dipstick. basically you want the gearshafts half submerged in oil.

the lead from the coil does not come off the only thing you can unscrew it the spark plug boot

There are no such thing as powerbrands.

It does have a power valve system. It is not uncomon for these to be incorrectly adjusted after you do a top end job. My best guess is that this is the case. The owner's manual covers how this can be adjusted.
