How do you adjust the clutch able on a bandit
are you trying to adjust the lever engagement or is the clutch - slipping ( or dragging )i thought that this bike has a hydraulic clutch - but if it is cable operated - there will be an adjuster at each end of the cable - loosen the locknut and either tighten or loosen as required - there should be some slack at the lever - about 1/8 inch or 5 degrees of travel - re-tighten the locknut
I have a 1996 bandit 600. It has been sitting for
Hi, you could try undoing the drain screws at the bottom of each float bowl, to let out the old fuel from each carb which may have become contaminated, however it is my thoughts that the contamination caused by the fuel standing for a period of time in the carbs has formed a varnish type effect blocking the main jets, also causing the float needle to become stuck in the closed position restricting the flow of petrol into the carbs, not such a bad job if you are mechanicaly mindedk
It idles fine but when is hits between 3500 and

Have 97 600 bandit and
This may be the case, if you have no power at all, do you have a neutreol light? If so then the main fuse is ok, if you have no power at all, first thing to look at is the fuse located under a cover located on the starter solenoide, normaly this fuse goes as a result of short circuit or when being sparked out with jump leads or battery charger, check this first, then check the fuses located in the fuse box, then check for 12volts dc at ignition switch,
My 1996 suzuki bandit will not come on what do I
is the battery more than 12.5 volts if its not its no good, get another battery...if you dont believe me try and push start it with the key on if it starts and runs kind of crappy at first its because the battery needs to be charged up..nothing that a good twenty minute freeway ride should fix up if the battery is less than two years old.
My bike is currently will not idle and bogs at low rpm
Try adjusting the jets a little leaner in the carb. But if that is not helping then yes its the valve that is bad and needs replacement.
And for idle problem check the throttle valve and its adjustment.the bike won't idle for 2 reasons. either the idle is not adjusted. or the idle components are missing from the carb. there is a secondary shaft that slides in from the bottom of the throttle. up through the throttle, and throught the carb cap where there is a hollow screw. there is a very small cotter pin that goes through the top of the shaft. that cotter pin sits inside the hollow screw. by adjusting the screw out. your taking the screw up along with the shaft. thus pulling up the throttle. this secondary shaft i am talking about is the basically the same thing as the needle jet. only thicker. in other words you have two needles which run throught the throttle. one is your needle jet. the other is part of your idle assembly.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution

How do i adjust the float bowls in my 96 bandit
Why would you want to adjust the floats? It's generaly never something that has to be done. It's set at factory and never needs tampering with. If your having carby problems, try other things first, cleaning them out, mabey re jetting.
Hard to keep running
how long has the bike been sitting?? It sounds like your carbs are blocked up and need to be cleaned and synchronized.
good luck

Suzuki bandit 1996 will not start
If you have spark and still the bike is not starting ( and the timing on the spark is correct) make sure you got fuel flowing to the engine, if fuel is getting there and still the engine doesn't start, check the cylinder head and pistons and make sure you got compression.
These are the problems that can cause a bike not starting.
Hope it helps
I need to lower my 1996 600 Bandit S
Replace your current shock with a shorter one or compress current spring.can get spring clamps at auto part store. Also a smaller wheel profile
