How do i drain off the coolant

I think this fault was addressed earlier. Unless you have a heating issue or discoloured coolant you need not drain and refill but need to top up if level is low.

Changing the coolant

You can drain off and refill but if there is too much contamination you can wash off with diluted coolant before the actual coolant is refilled. If there is no decolourisation then you need to only top the coolant if there is a fall in level. Also change if there is any heating issues.

My VZ800 sputters and turns over for a few seconds

try putting a fuw drops of oil into each pot then try starting her up,,if the pistons and rings are dry you wont have much compreshion it normaly works just fine after starting up, but it will smoke at first till the oil has burnt away also if you can do a compreshion test on the engine if there is rust on the velve seats that will stop it running from poor compreshion

What is the specs for the fluid that the forks use

Best is to use recommended OEM fork oil in the SAE10 or SAE15 range like Castrol Fork oil-10 or Fork oil-15, as number gets higher so is the viscocity and harder it on rebounding. When filing the fork do not over fill as it would make the fork response very stiff and blow out your seals. Good enough free advise?

You should be able to adjust the choke to where it will stay in without holding it by turning the rubber piece behind the choke clockwise towards you until the choke stays out on its own. You can adjust this so the choke automatically adjust as the bike warms.
Hope this helps..

MC cranks, but wont start.

You have done good - This is a shot in the dark but if the bike thinks the bike is in gear with the kickstand doen (kickstand relay) the bike will not start - look for a voltage from the kickstand relay (at the kickstand)
