How do I bleed the clutch?
Bleeding the clutch is similar to bleeding brakes, only easier. Take the lid of the clutch master cylinder, on the clutch side. If it's leaking, check for cracks. Also check the rubber seal inside the lid to make sure it is sealing all around the reservoir. With the lid off, pour some DOT 4 fluid into the reservoir, and slowly squeeze the clutch to get some air out of the clutch. When you see only fluid moving back and forth, release the clutch, fill the reservoir to the upper line or a little below the top. Have a rag handy to wipe any overflow, as dot 4 removes paint. Tighten up top of master cylinder, and work clutch until you can feel the back pressure.
I just replace the regulator
Sir, check your sparkplugs if there is current or electric, you can use sparktester or do it manually out your sparkplug and put it on the top of the head cover of the engine then start the motorcycle if the sparkplug sparks meaning to say electric is ok. check your fuel and your carburetor, bleed your carburetor to check if there is gasoline in the carburetor. thanks, i hope your motorcycle will start.
Location of oil filter for 1998 suzuki 1500
Look at the front of the motor behind the front wheel. You should find it there. When you install a new one, put oil in it first and let it soak into the filter, then install. Replace the drain plug crush washer too. Every time you change the oil. Chaz Moto DC
Can't bleed clutch, lever will not build up any
Some are hard to bleed without a pressure bleeder. They only cost abt $35 & are often quite helpful for the bike brake cylinders as well. I also have a vacuum bleeder that the line goes over the bleeder. Either should work fine, since these systems are so small just a little air in the system can make your clutch not work. If you dont have either, i would reccomend buying the vacuum bleeder first. Rick
Suzuki Intruder VS400 with UK 'R reg'. It starts every time but soon as you put it in gear to take off it cuts out.
The most likely thing is a sticking clutch. With the ignition off, can you drop it into second gear and push it with the clutch pulled in? You say you put 'new petrol' in, so it sounds like it has been stored for a while. Clutches will often stick as the clutch plates have been under pressure for so long. Fully warm the engine before moving off until the plates free up.And it looks like you probably mean VS1400 not VS400!There is help herehttps://www.google.com/search?q=suzuki+intruder+vs1400+stalls+when+put+in+gear..

This sounds like an issue with your clutch. It looks like you have a hydraulic clutch, so it may just need to be bled. As long as it is something in the clutch actuation, like the master or slave cylinders, it is not all that expensive. However, if it is a problem with the clutch itself, it can be an expensive fix. First thing to check is to see if the clutch fluid reservoir has fluid or not.
