Fuel mixing with oil in crankcase
Answer #1 is spot on! Get the carbs professionally cleaned and set. They will inspect the needle/seat assemblies (or SHOULD) and replace as necessary.

How do the fuel lines run on a 99 gsxr 600
Have you turned the fuel tap on (If it has one)? As far as I can remember, there are only 2 lines ( Feed and Return) check that the one with the filter in it is going to the "fuel in" line on the carbs.

Your Suzuki has a fuel valve, it is an automatic valve and has no lever on it to manually turn on or off fuel flow. These valves are prone to failure from sticking and this causes the engine to run out of gas. The valve is located in the underside of the fuel tank, you must drain the tank and replace the valve to correct your problem, the fuel tank is secured at the seat end with bolts, remove them and slide the tank rearward to release from front slide in rubber mounts. Be sure to mark each hose and where it goes before you remove them, this is very important! Below is the part number and price of the valve and a picture. I will also include a parts site web link for the factory parts for your bike at greatly reduced prices from the dealer for most parts.

Locate wire block at ignition switch, using a test light or multimeter check red wire for 12 volts dc, if you have no voltage here, you will have to trace the wire back to the battery and fusebox some models have a circuit breaker on the underside of the battery box, or in the imidiate area, its a 2 wire breaker with a transparrent cover and a red dot in the centre, push at this point to reset, have you checked the fuse at the solenoide 30 amp, if you do have power at the red, turn the ignition switch to the park position as the bike has a seperate live to the rear light, it should light(this will also proove you have power at the ignition)

Hi,
Yes you could get the roller bearing for the front wheel.
Try to remove the two bearing and clean the side of that bearing, you could see the number type of that roller bearing. Tell the number or bring the sample in the nearest parts store and surely they have that part.
Just remember when installing it back, dip/soaked that bearing to any motor oil for an hour.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for using FixYa!

Getting gas in the airbox
Hi,
The problem would be the gas float stopper in the carburetor. Fuel kept on flowing even when the gas float chamber is already full.
Better open the carb and check the float valve if it stops the flow of fuel when the float chamber is already filled.
Your mechanic or you can adjust the pin stopper by moving /adjusting the float pin seat.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for using FixYa!

My 1999 gsxr 600 turns over but won't start it
changing front tire has nothing to do with your bike not starting! first start by turning the key to the on position, do the lights come on bright? turns sigs Etc, work normally, hit hi beam, does it work, if yes then i would guess your battery does have enough juice to turn it over. Since you said it was running fine before this i doubt its a fuel problem but check your fuel pump fuse just to insure! if fuse is good then its time to get out the meter pull off the seat and take a voltage reading across the battery terminals. if it reads only 12.1v or less, it needs a trickle charge for about 5 hours. Batteries only last about two to three years! if you charge it and it starts!! but sputters when you ride it, then change the battery its going bad!

If you have a vacuum style fuel petcock , the vacuum diaphragm has a hole in it. The gas leaks past the diaphragm, down the vacuum line, into the intake manifold, into the cylinder, past the piston rings, and into the crankcase where it mixes with your oil.
If you have a standard on / off style petcock, all you have to do is leave your fuel on and have a float needle stick in one of you carburetors. The result is the same , the crankcase fills with all your expensive gas from the fuel tank. This can happen to any motorcycle that is in perfect order.
If the four hole washer in any style petcock gets worn (thin or torn) , that can be the cause of a fuel spill into the engine.
Start with a thorough inspection of your fuel petcock for bad rubber parts. Replace any bad parts with new. K&L makes after market fuel petcock repair kits if you just want to rebuild . If money is no object a brand spanking new fuelcock will work for sure. If running a quality fuel system cleaner like "Chevron Techron" does not stop the carburetor float needles from sticking, your may have to disassemble the carburetors and clean them properly and replacing the float needles during the process.

Whin driven 80 or more my bike dies out after 5
Hello and thanks for the quick response. You have a unique problem with your bike. It seems like the harder you run the bike, that is when the problem arrives. The first thing that I would do is check the oil level. It may seem funny but if there is to much oil in the bike it will push the oil up into the air filter and cause it to die out. The only cure for this is to drain the oil and install the proper amount, and then clean or replace the air filter.
The other thing that you should check is the ram air system. If the air tubes are disconnected from the carbs or pinched it can cause similar problems.
The last thing is to check the basics, carburators, spark plugs and compression. Most problems like this are associated with the carbs or fuel system. You must be familiar with this carb system to verify that it is ok or not. I would suggest a qaulified technician do the inspection.
Thanks and I hope that this helps.
