Bike not starting
There are basically 3 things needed for an engine to run. 1) good fuel, 2) good compression and 3) a strong spark.
If you don't have all three, your bike won't start. When you kick it over, do you get spark? You will need to pull a spark plug and check it...if it looks fouled, either use a fine sandpaper to clean it (for testing) or replace it (recommended). If you aren't getting spark and the plug looks okay, you have to look farther "up the chain" to find the problem...possible bad cable to spark plug? Work your way back. It could also be a bad ground...just some things to look at.

Fork spring change
Need specialist tools to open forks, best option is to take forks off bike and take them and new springs to a bike shop to have them do it.
But why change them, do you have any idea if the new ones will be better for your weight and style of riding?
I have a 2001 Suzuki with no spark how do I check
For checking the ohms you will need the repair manual. Should be there the values and the "how to". First you should ckeck the on/off button to see if him is the fault. If you don't know that you have spark or not you could check that easily. If the bike has starter is better. If not, you will need a second person to kick the bike and another one to watch the sparkplugs. The checking method is next: remove a spark plug and fix it on the engine everywhere you want but be sure that the sparkplug ( the wrench zone ) is on metal surface but the electrode should be in the air ( not touching the engine ). In this time press the starter button if the bike has starter or kick the bike. If in this time you see no spark on the elctrode gap that means the problem is the spark, coil, the ignition coil itself or the wires that power the ignition coil. How to check that? By purchasing the repair manual for you bike.

he Tires
-
Change your tires to paddle tires or sand tires. These are
available at most motorcycle shops or online retailers. These tires
enable you to push and stay on top of the sand, giving you traction
where normal tires would not work.
The Air Filter
-
Use a heavily oiled air filter with a sock protector around
the outside. This provides extra protection where fine sand particles
could bypass your air filter, and enter your engine causing significant
damage. Clean and oil your filter frequently when riding in the sand.
-
The Fuel Filter
-
Use an in-line fuel filter or, if you already have one,
change it frequently. This will keep fine debris from the sand from
entering the engine through the fuel system.
