NO SPARK ON A 98 RM 125
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, test for the presence / absence of below described voltages using an analog / needle type voltmeter when starting the bike:
- pulsating low AC voltage coming from the pickup coil;
- pulsating voltage feeding the ignition coil.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
I have a suzuki RM125. I was riding and it just
If your confident of a good spark, then your issue is fuel delivery. Try raising the slide needle by going down one notch on the needle. Jets and needle seats should be cleaned in a good quality carburettor cleaning solvent. Jets should be replaced if suspect. Check condition of reeds. Is the airbox and filter in good condition. Check for leaks around inlet manifold. Goodluck, cheers!
On my suzuki 125 dirtbike it wont idle
if it turns on and you have to hold the trottle to keep it on.. you might just need a tune up. clean your air filter and make sure your carb is adjusted correct.
No compression on my rm80
How are you testing for compression? This should be a 2 cycle 1 cylinder engine. Very simple. No valves.No compression is a mechanical problem and on this engine it could be a blown or missing head gasket or damaged piston and/or rings. Lack of maintenance on the air cleaner, no air cleaner, improper oil in injection system/ mix, no oil in former can all cause damage. More info needed.
My rm 80 will start and run but when just ideling it will stall, is it something to do with the carb?
Those little carbs on these tiny thumpers clog easily. You'll probably have to pull the carb, soak it in carb cleaner, blow it out with compressed air (be sure to wear chem-proof gloves and a face shield or at least eye protection--carb cleaner's nasty and when you blow it with compressed air, it goes everywhere). Reassemble, and it should run fine. We had a TTR125 and we had to clean the carb this way every year before riding season.
Clutch problems Suzuki RM125
Do a gearbox oil change. Then do another one 50 miles later. This should flush out the dirt and grit currently in the gearbox. You may want to invest in a new clutch cable also. 10w40 motor oil.
1993 suzuki rm 125 how to check trans oil no sight
The theory is to replace tranny oil at regular service intervals, common for motocrossers. Compactness of waterpump and clutch leaves no room for a dipstick measure on filler plug and no room for a sight window. Drain and measure if you sense a leak, otherwise just replace with specified amount as required.
Cheers.
