I replaced the front brakes on my 2003 suzuki intruder 1400 and unscrewed the caliper in half. Now I can not get the caliper to rebuild pressure. Any ideas

Can be very hard to bleed. If you have no leaks You might need to get a rebuild kit for the master cylinder

Hello. I have a 1999 Suzuki Intruder VS1400. Used

It sounds like its time to have the carbuerator cleaned more then likely you have some varnish build up in the idle circuit. I cant remember if that bike has a fuel filter in line from the tank but if it does I would recommend changing that first as it could simply be starving the motor of fuel at idle.

Is rthere a common problem

Actually the intruder is common for the stator to go. It is notorious for being underpowered. I bought one through rick's that is more powerful than original and works great.

If grips are rubber, you may try using compressed air to help them slide off.

Suzuki Intruder VS400 with UK 'R reg'. It starts every time but soon as you put it in gear to take off it cuts out.

The most likely thing is a sticking clutch. With the ignition off, can you drop it into second gear and push it with the clutch pulled in? You say you put 'new petrol' in, so it sounds like it has been stored for a while. Clutches will often stick as the clutch plates have been under pressure for so long. Fully warm the engine before moving off until the plates free up.And it looks like you probably mean VS1400 not VS400!There is help herehttps://www.google.com/search?q=suzuki+intruder+vs1400+stalls+when+put+in+gear..

On my 2000 Suzuki Intruder GS1400, when removing the front tire do I have to remove the brake caliper off the forks?

Yes it is easier to work if you do. The caliper will easily slide off the disc if left in place, but not quite so easy putting the wheel and disc back in. Here is the VS1400 Service Manual

When i went to get

This sounds like an issue with your clutch. It looks like you have a hydraulic clutch, so it may just need to be bled. As long as it is something in the clutch actuation, like the master or slave cylinders, it is not all that expensive. However, if it is a problem with the clutch itself, it can be an expensive fix. First thing to check is to see if the clutch fluid reservoir has fluid or not.

1400 suzuki does not start it sounds like a flat battery but the battery is fine

First check all battery cables and connections, no one may look loose , heated or oxydated. Jump the starter relay with a big diameter cable, if startermotor runs normally, replace the relay. Check the amperage starter takes when starting. if it's over 100A, then your starter or your engine is stuck.
