My chok cable go very hard in position ON.Now,I
Remove the choke cable and release it..pour in some WD-40 between inner and outer cable starting from any side making sure one end is facing down..at the same time holding the outer and you work with the inner moveing it until you see WD-40 coming out the other side of the cable.
Once the cable is out check the mechanism at the carburator if it works freely..it should do so.
Hope this helps!
Oil light stays on,
you have a direct to ground short in the wiring for these two guages. You will need to trace the wiring back to see if you can locate any breaks or bare spots that would allow this ground short and repair

How do you check the water level in a 2001 suzuki
peterbiltcoh,
If you haven't gotten an answer yet, here's how to check the coolant level in your '01 Volusia. The coolant tank is located on the bottom left side of the engine. There is a sight slot cut in the cover that will allow you to view the level. I preferr to take the cover off (3 screws) to make sure I'm seeing the marks on the coolant tank and to check the color of the coolant. It's an easy check even with taking the covers off (about 15 minutes). If the coolant is low, or discolored, you can make the necessary adjustments.
Speedometer not working
Check your speedometer gear box, it probably got bumped during removal/installation. The cable may have got pulled out. You can see the gearbox here: http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/Module/Main/TypeID/26/Type/Motorcycle/MakeID/2/Make/Suzuki/YearID/45/Year/2004/ModelID/6619/Model/VL800Z_INTRUDER_VOLUSIA/GroupID/279409/Group/FRONT_WHEEL

Brake light wiring on 2002 Suzuki volousia
Greetings!
If you're not sure, you'd best leave this modification to someone who can perform this installation for you and provide you with a warranty for their labor.
Also... you may want to check with local law enforcement that your lighting equipment modification is actually legal for your juristiction before you ride with it installed.
Cheers, Jay
The bike star and idle but stall went I gave gas
ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher at hand when working on carburetors.
Drain the carburetors. There should be a screw on the lower side of each carb float bowl. Remove the screw then replace it after the fuel drains. Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Is there any water or trash in the bowl? Drain a cup of gas from the tank. Is there any water or trash in the cup? Dump it, clean it and re-mount it, (not all bikes have a water trap bowl). Turn the gas back on and wait a minute for the carbs to fill with gas. If the bike doesn't start and run properly then shut off the gas and remove the carburetors from the engine.
FOR EACH carb > Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Remove the idle screw and the air screw on the outside throat of the carb and spray into the screw holes as well.

Be sure to put these two screws back in the same hole they came out of. IMPORTANT > do not tighten these two adjusters down. Only screw these in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each adjuster one and one half turns outward. Before putting the slides back in the throat of the carbs, Move the clip on the jet needle one notch lower. Put the rest of the carb back together and install the carbs. Sync the carbs such that the slides on both carbs move at the same exact instant when the throttle is slowly turned from idle speed. This process should get you back on the road.
