Suzuki c-50 bouelvard wont start. turn ignition on

You need to start from the battery, how is the condition of it, is it charged up?, are the connectors good? Using a test lamp, or a multi meter, check you have power at the battery, then trace it to the next place, till you find the break.

Boulevard C90 Having trouble w/keeping battery charged.

Check your battery first, if it's more than 2 years old, it could be had it. Disconnect the battery, and check the voltage with a multimeter, if the reading from your battery alone, is less than 12V, then your battery is no good.
To check your alternator function, using your existing battery, start the bike up, and check the voltage reading at idle, should be about 13 - 14Volts if your alternator is charging the battery.

With the clock displayed, press and hold both the "SEL" and the "ADJ" simultaneously for several seconds. When the hour indicator starts blinking, use the "ADJ" to set the hour. Press "SEL" again to get the minute indicator to blink and repeat the process for the minutes using the "ADJ". Press "SEL" again to go back to the regular clock mode.

Lifter noise

There is a tendency for you tohear some noise because they are normally pretty quiet, but just in case you didn't check it out put your hand on the gas cap cover when going down the road. They vibrate after awhile> you might try synthetic oil also, it does quiet them down.

Nothing at all happens when key is turned on.

Hi,
Sounds like the ignition switch is bad or a lose wire behind it. Remove the negative side of the battery and then remove the switch. Look at ALL the wires and be sure to loosen and re-tighten them all. Also loosen and re-tighten the wires on the battery. Check the fuse too if there is one - remove the fuse and replace it because the bikes vibration can cause the fuse to shake loose up inside of it self so either change it out or replace it as professionals do even when they look and even test good. After this be sure the wires are not broken within the sheaths.

Let me know after doing all this how the bike starts.

The fan on radiator will not shut off

Sounds like the contacts in the fan switch have arced so as to be welded together. If the fan is controlled by an electronic control unit, the transistor that runs the fan may have gone bad.

Find the sensor in the radiator that controls the fan, and disconnect it while the fan is running, to see if the fan stops. If so, that sensor is bad. If not, it is the electronic controlling part of the system.

Battery location in the bike

It's in a box on the front of the bike located under the oil cooler (looks like a mini radiator and has two hoses going to it). If you look right under that cooler you should see a metal plate with ribs on it (either 3 or 4 ribs) that's the front plate. Just above that is a plastic lid to the battery box.

The battery cables are routed behind the box. Once you get the lid off (two screws one on either side) you should see the indents for the cables in the lid. The battery terminals face the rear of the bike.

Hope this helps.

Oil change?

The Filter is on the front, bottom of the engine. It will be tight to get off and must be screwed back on tightly or it will leak.

Oil drain plug is at the rear of the engine, facing backwards.

Oil filling is under the RHS rear chrome cover, two hex socket screws to undo.

C90 takes about 4.5 litres to fill with an oil filter change, 4 litres if you dont cange the filter.

After refilling make sure to hold your bike upright and check the sightglass under the filler. Oil level should be between the markings on the housing.

How much of the Suzuki C90 Boulevard do I have to

Take the tank sides off and then the chrome covers over the spark plugs. The genuine spark plug tool that came with your bike works well to remove the plugs.

There is no need to remove the seat, instrument cluster or airbox.

Batt. not ataying charged

Check output of battery when bike is idling.
If still 11 volt, then your charger, which is the magneto is faulty or the wire is broken from it to your battery. If the charge varies when you test when engine dead to engine idling, wire is fine. Should be 13 to 13.5 volt when idling if magneto is ok.

Oil Change

1/Open oil filer neck/hole above foot clutch
2/Drain the oil from cranckcase, drain bolt in front of centre stand. Use a catcher for used oil.
3/Remove oil filter case @ centre of engine block below rad, that hump looking item
4/Put new oil filter the reverse of taking oil filter off.
5/ Close drain hole securely
6/Put new oil into cranckcase abt 3L, check dipstick to see how full it is, if needed continue filling until proper amount is in the cranckcase.
7/ Close the filler neck and it is ready to play

Oil change!! where and how do you do it? rookie

hi,if iremeber the drain plug for the sump is at the rear of the motor and is a horizontal one,so watch it when the oil comes out it goes a long way and makes alot of mess on the floor,i cant remember the quantity of oil to go back in,but about 3ltrs springs to mind, there is a sight glass on the right hand rear of the r/h engine casing so you can get it dead right, dont use a fully synthetic oil,the clutch will not like it and will start to slip, and for the life of me i cant remember where the oil filter is,although i normally only replace the filter every second oil change anyway, check with your local dealer to find the location of the filter..nice bike though i had a 1500lc and did over 50000mls on it trouble free, look after it and you will have a good run out of it for years..cheers
