push back the pads if possible and then press the brake and see if they return ! if not then remove the pads and clean where they fit and press the brake a little so the pistons come out then gently clean off then push back in and refit pads and try !

Cutting out
Almost sounds like a vacuum lock ("it feels like it running out of fuel"), like the gas tank isn't venting.
Air has to be allowed into the gas tank to replace the fuel leaving it.
Next time it dies, open/take off gas cap and see if it fires up right away, instead of having to wait 10 minutes.
If that works, start looking at the vent lines and see if it's plugged, or a one-way valve isn't working, or the line is pinched.
I have a 2000 gsxr 600 that runs fine but for some
Hello,Your bike has a safety interlock built in that will need to be thought of when you try to start the bike. The Kick stand needs to be in the UP position, not toward or resting on the ground if the transmission is in any gear other than Neutral. In other words the neutral gear the bike will always start regardless of the kickstand's position. On the other hand if you are in gear and put down the kickstand without thinking the bike will shut off.
My bike starts fine the
It sounds to me like its time for a valve adjustments!orYou need to check the vacuum lines for the gas tank.orGas cap and pet cock (fuel on offy thingy) can be the problem.
My 07 gsxr keeps blowing main fuse
No but this should be an easy one to trace the problem since its the one hot lead from the battery to the switch. follow it and you should be able to find where it grounded to the frame pay a close attention around the steering area where the wires come from the farme to the ignition swithc.
I want to know if
Its the set Valve. Have it removed or adjusted. I removed mine, problem solved
Hello, I have a 2001
Well...normally with most bikes...neutral indication is only needed to start the bike while its on the sidestand.
Even though it is in neutral because it doesn't indicate it, you need to have the sidestand up, and the clutch lever pulled in to attempt a start. Make sure kil switch is set to Run.
If it does start....because of no neutral indication, it should kill the engine as soon as you try to set the sidestand down.
If it will start and run....to look for the neutral indication issue, you need to trace the harness going to the neutral switch (or gear indication switch depending on make and model).
Any chance of rodent damage to wiring while stored....just seems odd the neutral light worked before...and now it doesn't. My experience is with Yamaha, and they usually grounded the neutral circuit at the switch, so you need all wiring connections secure and no wire breaks to get neutral indication, and satisy the interlocks.
Bike keeps over heating and
hi, I'm afraid tha your bike has a blown head gasket . Compression is passing to the cooling sistem and thus creating pressure.
good luck

Is The side stand is in the up position the bike is in neutral, and the clutch lever pulled in?
I have installed a cyclone
Sounds to me like you have made an error somehere, the indicators are not meant to be cut only just cut back the insolation and solder the alarm indicator wires onto the left and right indicators, best to the rear, DONOT CONNECT AT FLASHER RELAY,Recheck your connections, only cut the system you wish to protect ie imobiliser alarm, follow the instructions carefully if you have any, slightly grey area, with security devices as the information in the wrong hands could have bad concequences
My GSXR 600 K7 just
The tire has nothing to do with the loss of power. Check the fuse panel. Also check the battery. Occasionally an internal short can occur in a battery causing this type of problem. Also, an abraded wire could be shorting out causing the fuse to blow.
Hi, i have a knocking
Hi,
Sounds like you have a malfunctioning front dampers( shock absorber ).
That was cause by the lack fluid inside the dampers, the fluid may leaked out already and your damper seal have leaks.
Bring your motorbike to the nearest repair shop to fill those dampers with new fluid and you won't hear anymore knocking sound.
Hope that helps you out!
The fan on my 06
Hi,
The fan should not actually come on untill the engine goes over a temprature set by a thermostat,
when riding around normally the fan doesnt normally come on except when you are waiting at traffic lights or staying still,
You can test the thermostat just start the bike and let it idle the fan should start between 80degC and 90 degC if the engine temp goes over 110 -120degC and does not kick in there is definately a issue there with the thermostat, it doesnt sound like the wiring, fuses or relay as it runs for you sometimes.
Hope this helps:)

How to shut fuel off
It shuts off when there's no vacuum (engine not running) as long as the fuel switch isn't in the "prime" position.
I'm not sure what type
Information stolen from another site I use says the following:
use the oil and coolant that the manufacturer
recommends in your owner's manual.
if you plan on taking it to a track,
do NOT use the coolant the manufacturer recommends or any other glycol based
antifreeze. use water wetter or engine ice. regardless of what style coolant you
use, make sure you have a 50/50 (antifreeze/water) mixture.
Make sure to get the Prestone that is silica, phosphate, borate free. It should
list this as well as being safe for aluminum radiators.
Antifreeze, any ALUMINUM SAFE antifreeze is fine.
Coolant (there is a
difference) if you arenet worried about freezing, Distilled water and water
wetter is best. Regarding water wetter: You only need about 10-12 capfuls for the entire system
engine ice, Hp cool etc are good too for both (coolant
and anti freeze as well, and track safe for some orgs)
