2008 Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa Questions & Answers
Shorted my 2008 hayabusa putting jump pack lead around the wrong way now no power any idea whats blown the blue fuse seems ok
Most probably the battery has shorted out. Check all fuses then fit a new battery if you re lucky the battery is the only thing that has fried. If nothing works when your new battery is fitted check the regulator/rectifier and further back to the alternator if necessary.
Please never use jump start packs or car chargers to start your bike. Also never jump start from a car etc. using cables.
Your poor little battery is not designed to take the amount of the current these units give out. Only use a dedicated bike battery charger with an output of 1 Amp maximum. Please also when removing the battery undo negative first when refitting connect positive first.
Water in oil
DONT run any more till you can figure out problem, probably a faulty seal or O RING

1
Remove the rear cowl using the ignition key. Use the 5mm
Allen key to remove the two bolts securing the seat to the frame. When
the bolts are out, lift up at the back and remove the seat.
-
2
Remove the prop fuel tank prop rod from the rear storage area. Lift the back of the fuel tank and support it with the prop rod.
-
3
Unplug the fuel injector wiring harness connector. This is a
white connector that has wires coming from the fuel rail and connects
to the main wiring harness.
-
4
Locate a spot in the rear storage area to mount the Power
Commander unit. Clean the spot using brake cleaner and a rag. Mount the
Power Commander unit to the spot using the Velcro tape supplied with the
Power Commander.
-
5
Route Power Commander's wires along the frame rails towards
the front of the bike. The wires from the Power Commander have two
connectors. Plug each connector from the Power Commander to the white
connector you unplugged in Step 3. The connectors will only plug into
each other one way.
-
6
Lower the fuel tank and reinstall the seat. Start the engine
and follow the procedures for programming the Power Commander according
to the instructions in the manual.
I have a 2009 model Suzuki Hayabusa.The turn
I've got the same problem on my 08 Busa. Both times happened after turning left. The second definitely happened when I turned on the left turn signal. The 4 way flashers worked after I replaced the fuse the first time. Perhaps the left turn signal worked a few times between replacing the fuse the first time the second time it blew. I looked at the left handlebar switch and can't see a problem in it. Next, I'm going to trace some wires.

Motorcycle wont start
Is the gas new?If it isn't,there was a report about how ethanol is causing problems in gas lines and motors. It erodes the non metal parts in the fuel system. You can try cyphoning the gas,add octane boost, then add some gas.My mechanic recommended it because I was at wits end and out of ideas so I called.A couple gallons is fine because if it doesn't work, you won't waste much money.I had the same problem, same time sitting on a scooter and it didn't work. It's all I got for now.Isn't it WONDERFUL that we're going green?
Good luck bro!
I have a f1 light on my 2008 hayabusa not sure
you need to check the codes to see what it is. If you are sitting on your bike it is on the left side of the bike under the seat and in the tailsetion. It should be tied to the subframe and hard to get to, is a factor connector which is where you can jump the two wires in the four hole plug. It is a white plug with two wires going into it, but it has a four hole plug, two are just empty. It will be easier to just unbolt the tailsection and pull it back some. There should be a black rubber cover on the plug, don't get this confussed with the plug close to it that has the hard black plastic cover, leave that one alone.
take the rubber cover off, locate the 2 wires that are actually going to the plug and the jump the two, a paperclip or strip of wire works fine, turn the key on and look at the LCD display. Make sure the red kill switch is in the on posisition. If nothing appears, crank/start the bike for about 5 seconds then stop and see what codes appear. you should get C20 or C14 or a number like that. That number is the code that is saying what is wrong with your bike.
After you get the code post it on here and ill try to tell you what it means
