Engine cut out, when coming
Check for vacuum leaks. If you have unmetered air entering the engine on deacceleration the fuel mixture will lean out and the engine will try to stall. Any popping from the exhaust will also be a suspect of a lean fuel mixture. Also, inspect your spark plugs and replace them if they are discolored....I hope this helps.

I have recently charged the battery on my Triumph
Try this....should switch it back and forth
At the odometer setting (the one that shows your total miles you have on the bike) press and hold the "select" button for about 8 seconds. MPH goes first to KPH. Press and hold again and your radiator setting goes from F to C. Press and hold again, C stays put and KPH changes back to MPH. Press and hold again and you're back to MPH and F.
Hard to start when cold..takes several goes till
Hi,
Generally after about a week of sitting idle, especially in cold damp conditions, bikes will be hard to start. There can be several reasons for this such as:
A cold battery cannot produce a high enough charge.
The oil is thick and causing drag on the starting system.
The gas is cold and less likely to evaporate and hence 'burn'.
Water in the fuel due to bad petrol or condensation.
In general, these bikes run on a very lean mix of petrol and therefore can be difficult to start when the have one or more of the issues listed above. Simply because the bike is hard to start does not mean that there is a problem with it other than those above.
So whatever the cause, what do you do if your bike is a pig to start after a long break?
I would suggests after trying to start the bike with the electronic start button, without choke and failing you should:
Get the bike on the center stand. It is much more stable this way.
Kick start the bike around ten times, without the ignition on.
Pull out the choke lever. This is the small level under the left hand grip.
Kick start the bike, with the choke lever out. Do not touch the accelerator.
Keep kick starting the bike.
After the bike has started you should take it for a spin, a couple of kilometers in order to get the bike warm and the battery fully charged. If you cannot do this you should at least let the bike sit with the engine running at idle for some time. Ten minutes perhaps.
The bike should start. However, you may find yourself having to kick start the bike a lot of times. I mean a lot. You will get hot and tired as it can be really difficult to start a cold, wet bike.
I hope the above helps....
Good luck.
How to remove the switch
Is the key broken off in the switch ?
If so a mobile locksmith could come out too you and use a key removal tool to get it out.
You may be able to do same with 2 sewing needles at each end and to gently try to pull the old key out (being very carful not to loose the it (put a cloth around switch to catch it just in case)).
If you have to remove the barrel it will be bolted onto the steering yoke either from underside or from front but you may have to take off quite a bit of plastic to do so to get too it.
A complete lockset can be bought off ebay for your bike as an alternative.

My 2001 TT600 will crank but not start. The bike
Check all the fuel system to make sure you don't have a plugged line or filter, I hope the old gas was removed from the tank before adding new or you might have a issue with gummed up carberators, they tend to gum up and dry out the gaskets when they sit for a while. The carb gaskets may need to swell up to get a good seal, or they may need replaced. Have you checked to make sure your getting spark to the spark plugs? Pull a plug and put it close to the cylinder head and see if it is sparking while your turning the motor over.
2001 triumph tt600 fronnt wheel removal
support the bike so that the front wheel is off the ground.
1, remove front mudgaurd, 2, remove brake caliper, 3 disconnect any speedo drive cable or wires, 4, loosen axel nut, and withdraw the axel, 5, remove the front wheel.
Low end power is poor and revs alternate while idleing.
Hi,
Unfortunately the early model TT600s are biult with this problem from the factory. They later fixed the problem with a MAP sensor re-program that can be done at any Triumph dealer. There are also some products on the market that may also fix this problem. All of this is of course assuming that everything else is fine with the bike. The only thing that I would check is the crank position sensor located on top of the left hand side cover, they occasionally get dirty and cause problems. Spray the end of the sensor with some WD-40.
Let me know how this works out.

My tt battery was flat, I charged it and now the
you may need to reset the alarm...this normal involes pressing the alam fob buttons in a cirten way...so it resets it self..have you got a handbook for the alarm. take a look at that....& also just make sure you havent blown the alarm fuse....hope this helps
Signal problem
LED ones? require less voltage, so relay gets conused. Fit indicator resistor (available anywhere, prob from where you bought the indicators)
Hy,
Showing ECU fault! could be a loose connection which is the problem, tank the fuel tank off and check under there its a favorite place, then work you way round the bike checking all the connections,if nothing found then its a trip to the dealer and have the ECU read/reset
Removing baffles
When removing such things or even changing exaust system, make sure carb jets are reset. Or if your bike is fuel injected to have it reprogramed.By changing exaust flow you change intake flow.
SIGNAL RELAY
No, power to two of the terminals, the other one is grounded.
