How do I change the spark plugs on a triumph daytona 650
on the bikes from the 50s and 60s a torque wrench on a short plug socket would get them out without removing the tank unless the tank was modified. and you want to replace them with never seize and torque to speck. you should be using a good shop manual and following its specs and procedures to avoid big money foulups

Compression test 1967 t120
NEEDS TO BE 125 PSI TO 175 PSI. IT DEPENDS ON THE DOME OF THE PISTONS. REMOVE BOLTH SPARKPLUGS, HOLD THROTTLE WIDE OPEN AND KICK OVER 10 TIMES. NUMBERS SHOULD BE CLOSE TOGETHER 10% FROM EACH OTHER. IF NOT ADJUST VALVES AND TRY AGAIN.

99 sprint st wont start or turn over horn out as well
Take your battery out and bring it to a local parts store or bike shop to have it load tested. If a battery is sulfated it will often show full voltage however there will not be enough amperage available for large loads.

You could try the 12 minute tune. This is in the workshop manual.
start the engine from cold,do not touch the throttle at any time, leave running until the cooling fan starts and then leave engine running for 12 minutes and then turn off and restart. This process resets the computer parameters.Engine must be cold to start with.

Speedometer repair
Had the same problem with the 09 speedo massively over- reading from time to time. A good clout with the side of a gloved hand would sort it sometimes. Ultimately, it's a defective speedo and these babies are more expensive to fix than to replace because they are sealed. If you look on eBay or similar you will sometimes find replacements for sale. Just make sure you get the 09 Efi version as the previous ones did not have the engine management connection and the 2011 had a re-design and again, won't fit.

You need to explain a little better... do you mean it will only crank properly when the choke is open and the throttle is closed ??? Has the battery been properly charged and tested ??? ( be honest here because we can't help if you don't ) are the battery cable connections is good shape ??? Have you tried spraying some carb cleaner into carbs when cranking ??? I have the same engine on my Triumph

Engine oil turns black just a few miles after changing
Is ok for an oil to change his colour after changing, but depends in how many miles.
There are a couple of causes for that.
Keep in mind that you can't drain totally the old oil from an engine and that way your new oil will receive some black colour from the old one.
Also, the oil is going to the cylinders where are extreme temperatures and residues.
Maybe you had a to used oil in the engine or a bad one and you have deposits inside and the new oil washed those and received some black colour from them.
Next time before adding some new oil use a motor flush to clean it, but be carrefully when chosing it.
