Have u ever tried SEAFOAM?

You still have a carb issue. The float is stuck, or the needle has dirt or corrosion in it.

The centre of the cap is locked to the tank and needs the key to remove it. you will have to put the bolts back in and try to force the lock with a screwdrivver or drill the lock out. Then remove the bolts to take the cap assy off. The cap needs to be open before you can undo the bolts and remove it.

Im wondering what you have been using up till now?

All alloy headed engines(fj1200) have hardened valve seats and should handle unleaded fuel.
It can help to add a little upper cylnder lube such as moreys.
I would steer clear of any ethanol, E10 type fuels, as they willl damage some rubber carburator components, hoses, o rings, slide diaphrams etc

Repair the exhaust, and all the power is back.

1. If second gear is acting like in and out of gear under load the gears are worn needing replacement engine removal and lower end work.
2. If your accelerating and the engine begins to accelerate steadily to a point that your motorcycle is not reacting along with the engine you have a slipping clutch. If this is the problem replace the clutch plates and springs.

The float is not set properly.there is a little bendable tab that controls the needle.Bend this tab up a little and the needle will close sooner.your problem is the floats all the way up but needle not closed.Which will cause the overflow hose to spew gas.

Replace the large gear that plugs into the one way clutch inside the motor. The smooth grabbing surface has become chattered and can no longer be grabbed by the one way clutch.

If the bolts are the allen/hex/torx kind with a dot in the middle, just put a small flat head in there and remove that dot, or go buy some security bits.

If it's any other kind of bolt, use a file and cut a flat groove into the bolt, then either use a chisel and light taps with a hammer, or use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew it.
