My 1995 yamaha vmax motorcycle starts fine. when

have them test the cdi box. it is your electronic controler for your ingnition timeing. it could be getting hot and shuting down. when it shuts down. the can take a wire from the negative side of the coil and ground it to the frame touching it and letting go of it instintly and if it sparks its not the coils it will be the cdi box or something to do with the electronic pickups in the motor that gives the signal to the cdi. that it is the correct time to trigger firing. hope this helps out.

The clutch on my 83 Yam. Venture has fluid

Mate. With older bikes, the clutch plates will sometimes stick together.Say there is 8 plates.5 stick together and it just wont slip properly.Pull it apart.Clean each plate. It MUST go back together in the same order as it came apart. Not a hard job but do it slowly and double check all parts are in order. You can do this, but you will never walk out of a shop without a good bill.Hope this helps

Yamaha xjr 1200 cdi diy

Have you checked out your coils? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRQ45lT2d3c Here is a good video on how to do it. Different bike, different coils but you will get the idea. If your coils are okay then at the very least it is one thing less to replace. Good luck.

I HAVE AN YAMAHA ENGINE

Hi "merleneff"

The serial number on the engine is totally different from the VIN number on the frame. If you had the VIN number from the frame, I could give you all the details.

The only info you can get from your engine number is the production date and origin of manufacture. You can call the Yamaha Motorcycle Corporation for this info.

Hope this helps you out!

Cannot remove the carbs (Physically).

If you can get or cut an allen key that will fit the bolts holding the inlet manifold(the rubber things between carbs and engine)then you could try taking those off. Otherwise you may have to drop te engine.

I have a 2002 Yamaha SR125 and my original Speedometer has packed in. Everything works apart from the mileage. Does anyone know how to wind the Clock back?

This is a highly ill - eagle act to do. In the old days we would put an electric drill on the drive cable, but now they make them tamper proof so they only go one way. The bezels are crimped on so you can't get inside them. I expect modern one may be electronic. How will your insurance company know what mileage you have done? I have never known an insurance cancel or fine due to mileage. You should have just disconnected it when you got close to the limit. Buy a used one and use them for 6 months in turns. There are two or three here 23K and one with 36k https://www.google.com/search?q=2002+yamaha+sr125+speedometer ..

Yamaha Mio 125 MX. Why is my Mio MX 125 carb not starting?

Question edited for a lot more clarity, add maker. Question moved to Yamaha Motorcycle. Unlikely to be a carburetor problem as this appears to be fuel injected! https://www.google.com/search?q=Yamaha+Mio+125+MX+no+start ..

Yamaha XT125X - I have just changed the fuel valve and put petrol in the tank. Now the engine won't start and the fuel light is on all of the time? Any ideas anyone please?

Make sure the fuel is getting to the valve and passing through it. Possible blockage in fuel line or in the tank.

Bought battery for Yamaha midnight star 1600 turn over slow and want crank 2000 model

First make sure that the new battery has been fully charged and is not defective. Next make sure that the proper voltage is reaching the started. You may have a bad post connection or loose connection at the starter. Try jumping you battery with another known good battery.
