Xjr1200 runing hot

If this is liquid cooled, try replacing the thermostat/coolant, and making sure the
radiator fins are clean. If that don't solve it,
remove the radiator and have it pressure
tested. If air-cooled: make sure there are
no grease/dirt accumulating around the
engine-block fins. Change engine oil/filter
air-filter.

Yamaha xjr 1200 cdi diy

Have you checked out your coils? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRQ45lT2d3c Here is a good video on how to do it. Different bike, different coils but you will get the idea. If your coils are okay then at the very least it is one thing less to replace. Good luck.

I HAVE AN YAMAHA ENGINE

Hi "merleneff"

The serial number on the engine is totally different from the VIN number on the frame. If you had the VIN number from the frame, I could give you all the details.

The only info you can get from your engine number is the production date and origin of manufacture. You can call the Yamaha Motorcycle Corporation for this info.

Hope this helps you out!
