Studs have broken off and wont drill out can i cut
1. Easy out, you should be able to drill out the hole for the easy out with the right bit and some wd. 2. if its steel in aluminum, If you cannot get a vise grip on it, weld something to the stud stub, let cool, then heat the aluminum around the stud and try removing it. Al. should expand outward giving you a little play. Just be careful of the gasket surface.
I want to put a bigger motor in my xvs 650
you can put any engine you want in this frame as long as your fabrication skills are very good and your not scared to have the bike fall apart from the stress of too much power or torque
How do you remove exhausts from yamaha dragstar
If you follow the pipes they will tell you by themselves they're really easy you have four alan bolts at the blocks 2 and 2 then be careful to dislodge the pipes from the balancer then there are a couple of bolts behind the wide parts.
Bars not aligned
you can loosen a bit any mounting bolts holding the bars, then use a bit of force to pry it to where you want them, then re tighten the bolts
Tail lights indicators and front brake light not working
look for your fuse panel may be by the drivers side or under the hood drivers side.Once found the panel or fuse box cover should tell you what number fuse is needed and where its located for both the tail light indicators and back brake lights good luck

Your Yamaha dealer sells a set of three washers/spacers (thin about 1-3/4" across) that probably were never put in your starter. It is a fix for intermittent or non working starters. The dealer should be able to tell you where they go in the starter.
