Oil leaking from small hole in left side of
the small hole is a drain hole from the spark plug recesses, so you may have a rocker cover leak.
Pull the tank off and have a look down the plug recesses and you should see where it is going

from the sound of it, i'd say you have a bad connection in the wires somewhere because vibration must be enough to make bad connection happen?
What to check as a result of reverse polarity on a 1987 yamaha fazer
Hi Don , start checking all the fuses . I would suggest you get a manual as it will identify them all, but most have several near the battery compartment , usually under the seat. Normally some on the right or left front side near the handle bars. I would suggest that as you trace the positive from your battery, the first fuse you hit will be the issye. Good luck
Cooling fans not coming on 2006 FZ1
It sounds as if you have an air lock in the coolant line. Bleed the coolant system and check that the thermostat works by doing a resistance check while the thermostat is in a jug, into which you pour boiling water. It should go "Short" when at boiling. Coolant in most bikes is usually kept at around 80-85 Deg C. I hope this helps
Engine/misfires
There are two reasons one is bad spark plug another is improper timing check both
New bike coming home tomorrrow,
Most bikes seem to have O2 sensors these days and I'd say it's pretty likely you will have one. They are easy to find, just follow the pipes from the motor all the way to the exhaust and you will find it, they aren't small. A bit like a big spark plug usually with 4 wires coming off it.
It won't stop you using a slip on unless the slip on replaces the part of the pipe containing the sensor. A decent exhaust however should have a plug in it so you can install the O2 sensor if required.
The problem comes when you try to get it running spot on for the new pipe. Some sensors are just used to lean off the mixture during cruise and part throttle operations. For these ones you can usually get a kit that will plug in to the loom instead of the sensor and it will "trick" the ECU into thinking the reading is fine and no change is necessary. This will allow you to add a power commander or other fuel control type device and tune the engine accordingly.
