The wrench should have been included in the tool kit with the bike. If not you can buy a replacement toolkit on ebay or similar for ~30USD

Thats a new one on me, not heard of any problem with the gearbox especialy at 260 miles,my advice would be to. Take it back to a yamaha dealer ask them to diagnose the problem, it should be under a warrenty of some sort, even if it has expired i would ask the dealer to ask yamaha about similar instances and werther they would warrant the repaire.

The recommended engine oil for the Yamaha FZ6 is as follows: SAE 10W30, SAE 10W40, SAE 15W40, SAE20W40, or SAE 20W50. The exact weight will depend on the average temperatures the motorcycle will be exposed to.
Any oil you use must meet the following standards: API service SG type or higher, JASO standard MA.
Be sure you buy an oil that DOES NOT have friction modifiers for increased fuel economy. These are NOT for use with a "wet" clutch, such as those found on motorcycles.

Check your speedometer cable - it is still mechanical down towards the front wheel. The dash simply converts it into an LED display. You may need to tighten the connection or if it is worn then you will need to replace the cable.

it is under the seat remove the black earth wire first ,then red power lead first when re-fitting,this stops sparks if you touch the frame with your spanner.allso check water level when out,if low use only clean de-ionised water,from shop.

you will have to take the bike to a yamaha dealer and have the dash computer reset,the dealer should have the scan tool for doing this...cheers

american imports are not restricted. a friend of mine bought a veemax from the usa because it was the only place he could get a full power version at the time.

first need to set push rod freeplay 1/16th clearance @ engine clutch basket then set handle bar

If you have a valvecover leaking, it could well be leaking into the plug well, and that's where the oil on your plug threads is from.
