Everything comes on horn works

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially,is there a clicking sound? If yes, then check the starter relay. Temporarily jump the 2 big terminals. To locate the starter relay, follow the big cable from the battery's + terminal.

If there is no clicking sound, try starting with the clutch lever pulled and/or the sidestand folded up.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

Front brake

Hi ,
It sounds like the brake lever maybe the wrong one and it applies pressure on the brakes while riding and heat up the pads . Once the pads cool down you can roll again .
Make sure your lever is the right one

What type of oil should i use

This is a somewhat open Question/debate. It depends on what country you are in, what products are readly available to you, what your local climate is like. These things all affect which oil I would in any of my bikes.

It's safe to say that genuine Yamaha oil would be the safe sugestion.
Otherwise I would consult your owners manual as to the desired weight of oil for the season/temperature your in & substitute this with any leading brand of full synthetic MOTORCYCLE oil.

This is to say that car type oils are not designed spacifically for wet clutches & transmission lubrication which are major perameters when it comes to bike oils. This is also not to say that some high quality car oils would not work fine.

This is why I stick to motorcycle spacific oils/lubricants.

Leading brands that I have used are Bel-ray,motul,syn-lube,motorex,castrol,silkoline

Hope this helps Regards
Andrew

How much oil is supposed to be in the bike, and If

reservoir should have something in it ...it doesnt have to be full. a 1/4 tank of coolant will do. the bike should always be measured in the upright position, if you have sight glass, only fill it up 3/4 way, never full, its bad for the engine to have too much oil and once you go past the sight gauge you really dont know how much extra you put in it. usually 3 qts does it for almost all bikes w/filter it may take a 1/4 bottle more.just start at 2 and 1/2 run motor for a minute to let oil get into filter then finish filling up to the 3/4 mark. can i get a very helpful responce thanks man.

How do you take a windshield of a yamaha r6

There are four screws that hold it in place, take those out and pull the windshield up and towards the back of the bike. Some bending of the windshield may be necessary, it's a pain.

The bk seat on the r6 is uncomfable why is it made

Made cheap and strong - normally not used or not used long - built to a price and style - which does not include comfort.

You could say the same about many other motorcycle seats - front AND back.

I hope this answers your question. If you want a comfortable seat, look at the after market seat industry.

Ive lost all the electric functions on the left

Probably a short in the system. Check all your fuses and if there is still a problem take the machine to Yamaha for repair. It might be a warranty claim.

Front indicators

Removing the indicators is a simple process involving the removal of the fairing to unclip and unplug them from the fairing. The plastic press studs that hold sections of the fairing in place are prone to breaking when you remove them but are easily obtained from your local Yamaha dealer and inexpensive.

Hi please could you tell me what happend with my

The chain was probably loose enough to jump a tooth on the sprocket. That was the noise you heard. Adjust the chain but also check the sprockets. If worn as shown below you may need to replace the sprockets and the chain as well.

Pop noise with thick white smoke from front end,

sounds like you might have a cracked cylinder and oil puddled up inside over night and when you started it..it blew out through the exhaust. White smoke means oil...black smoke means gas ,and blue smoke means both..if you cracked a water jacket your oil will look like a bubbly milk shake.....take a look at your oil.

Hard to change into 1 st and 2nd gear .

Remove the quick shifter and see if the shifting problem is still there. If so, you have a bent shift fork. Yes, the entire engine comes out and then the bottom case half is removed to gain acess to the gears and shift forks.
