It sounds like either the cdi has become faulty, or it is imobilised due to either the safety switch on clutch lever, side. Stand, ignition switch, or engine kill switch, the only way to test the cdi is to replace it, some circuit tests on the unit may be possible, but only a new unit will eliminate the fault

My mate did some circuit tests on the cdi, and it seems to be working fine, according to the manual, I will check the stand and clutch lever switch, will let you know how it goes, thanks

Yamaha G1 Golf cart...Engine does not crank when key is on and gas pedal is depressed... suggestion??.. I've heard that the CDI might be the issue...Discontinued part?

cranking is turning over which indicates that the battery and starter is doing the job
cranking but not firing indicates ignition or fuel problems
now that you have the correct terminology perhaps you can get an answer
first test is to pull a plug ground it out or use a spark plug tester crank it over to see if there is spark
Good spark forget CDI and coil so look at fuel
NO spark indicated , check for 12 volts from the ignition switch on the start circuit
Ignition switches have to power wires to the coil
on gives power when cranking and the other continues power when the starter is nor engaged
power in both positions move on to next check
no power from the switch to the coil when cranking --get new switch next check if both wires have 12 volts is the ignition circuit
check for safety micro switches not working right up to the CDI
power to the CDI but no spark --replace cdi
power from the cdi nut still no spark --replace the coil
AS to not available
check after marker as the units are generic and made by electronic companies not golf cart manufacturers so it is a distinct possibility that a cdi from some where else will fit

1981 Suzuki gn400 no spark

I know it sounds silly, but have you checked your earth or ground wiring. If not earthed this type of problem can occur. Did the bike run before you replaced your coil etc? You could have a crook CDI
are you using multi meter mate for correct voltage readings?

1997 yamaha xj600 wont spark

Spark plugs. Or the coils. Just because there is power going to them doesn't mean they are working. But as they are fired by the CDI unit you might like to look there. Mine was a failed coil. If the problem is on both coils, it can only be the CDI.

No Spark, No Power coming from CDI to coil

Check the wiring on the connector plugs make sure all the wires are the same color on both sides, red to red blue to blue and so on. I had the same problem After replacing a stator and just plugging it in,after two weeks a new cdi and coil i noticed there were two wires transposed.

Low spark on one spark plug

Sounds like you need new wires.....but the cdi box could be working only on one cyl. also........I would try new wires first.....

No spark

There are a # of things that can take your spark out, first I would see if you have power to your ignition coil (100V+). If none there you need to isolate your ignition switch (unplug it or take it out of the equation) and jump your starter solenoid manually or try pushstarting the bike. If still nothing check for voltage going into your CDI box, if none check for voltage out of your stator (over 100V) and your trigger or pulse coil (over 3V). If you find voltage at the stator and not the trigger replace the trigger and vice versa. If there is voltage for both replace CDI box (but be cautious to verify good ground for CDI box and ignition coil). If you find voltage out of your CDI box (over 100V) replace your ignition coil. Good luck!
