My 2005 matrix keeps blowing 15amp rear running light fuse every time light get turned on all other lights work fine.whats causing this?

fuses blow because of dead shorts or excess current draw
to blow a 15 amp fuse indicates a dead short
by disconnecting the rear lights , the problem is in something else you have replaced
could be a problem in the head light wiring

2003 Olds Alero keeps blowing fuse For dash and tail lights

Likely there's a wire loose that's shorting to the chassis. The way I troubleshoot these is to put a lightbulb in the fuse socket, and then go under the dash, and move stuff around while somebody watches the light. When it goes on, you're close to the problem. Yeah, it's a royal pain, but that's the best way I know.

Fuse for dash board lights and tail lites keeps blowing

You may have a damaged wire leading to one of the lights that keeps blowing.
Not fun, but you have to chase down the wiring to everything that keeps blowing out.

1999 sentra gxe dont have tail lights or dash lights. Was blowing 10 amp fuses until someone put in a 15 amp fuse. now even with new fuses got no rears or dashlights

That was my first thought, too. But it would not "fry" the whole circuit, so don't give up yet, using the higher fuse may have just cost you one more step of finding the problem.
So is it still blowing a 10 amp fuse? Either way what you really need is someone with a voltmeter or multi-meter to track down where the power has been lost. Most cars have the tail (or park lights) and the dash illumination lights on the same circuit, therefore using the same fuse, so an electrician could start by checking if the fuse has power with tail light switch on, then checking the wire going up to the dash, and how the tail lights wire is spliced with that or separately from the fuse and then routed to the rear.
It always helps to have a wiring diagram, sometimes absolutely necessary with involved circuits. Your problem should be simpler, not so much to look after, although the colors of the tail light wires may be needed. The person with the voltmeter can follow the wires that way, sometimes you have to pull a harness apart to find the wires you need. It may take a little time, but anyone who knows how to use a voltmeter should be able to find the problem. It does take time, sometimes, alas.

Tail lights and dash lights out in 96 dodge ram. all other lights work. already replaced headlight switch. still no tail lights

does the fuse keep blowing ?? it is also on the same line as the cigarette lighter if the fuse is blowing check that there is nothing stuck in the lighter socket that is shorting it out. Could also be a bad ground wire not makeinig contact.

96 dodge ram 2500 tail lights and instrument panel lights quit working at the same time all other lights work help please!!!

Check your tail light fuse, on the dodge ram the dash lights and tail lights use the same fuse so if the tail light fuse blows your dash lights will go out to alert you of no tail lights.

1986 ford mustang

It sounds like you solved this one your self . It does sound like the switch has went bad, but also look for any lose or bad wires around the tail lights and the wire harness going to them.
