My 94 Honda Shadow VLX600 starts and runs great but when it's cold and I give it a little throttle it bogs down but is fine once it warms up. @

probably is a emissions sensor problem, lots of these parts are plastic. check out the throttle cables, lub em wd40. there is a type of valve somewhere on top of engine, it may be cracked, pcv valve stuck. lots of possibilities, almost too much for solution online. something emmissions with an electronic sensor is acting up.

If your bike has carbs and not fuel injection, ( difficult to remember back 23 years ago ), then remove the carb slides and move the clip on the jet needle down one notch. This will richen the low end mix and provide it sooner. You may need to go two notches but start with one notch. Also, sync the carbs such that the slides on both carbs move at the same exact instant when the throttle is slowly turned from idle speed < engine off. Clean the carbs when you get a chance.
Please rate this solution. Thanks Cindi!

There seems to be low gas level in the float chamber of the carburator.
Clean the carburator and check the float level and reset.
With the choke 'on' and if you hit the throttle it will die because there is a restriction of the air flow to the carburator.

use a thin piece of wire and clean the ilde port and transfer port if that doesn't clear it up check idle jet

check fuel level, u may need to check the flow of petrol to it,,Also if that does not solve you may need to service the carb and check fuel filter, air filter etc...
