I can't find any records at all but, I do know that in 79 I had the KLX and it was a 4 stroke, in the following year they switched to the KX 2 stroke. I did find online people having these also in 94 and 95. So far, we know they were made at least those 15 years.
I don't understand the numbers that have been included with your question or your question. Do you already have a engine and are wanting to know the year it was manufactured?
you know what the year is of the car you need the motor for and whoever you got the motor from should know what year the car it came out of.on these they are interchangable from year to year until you get into i think about 2001.or you can get the engine number off the block and call a wrecker to find out what year it is.
The frame number is the Vehicle Identification Number. If the engine is the original engine, then the engine is a 2004. If it is not the original engine, the engine numbers will not identify what year the engine is. The only identifier is the frame number. Engine numbers are useless.
I can help! Are you doing a N/A to turbo swap? Or just engine for engine? Mostly year for year will be the same...JDM or USDM. Depending on year...My first suggestion would be to go to Toyota and buy the 2 Big Green Books for your year. They have FULL wire diagrams amongst COUNTLESS things you will need to know. 2nd...I would go to MR2 tech .com...They have most of the pages of the BGB there. Anything you need let me know! Ive done many swaps in the 2nd gen. Good luck!
DEPEND ON WHAT YOUR ENGINE DISPLACEMENT IS.IF YOU HAVE A 1.9 ENGINE IT WILL GO BACK TO YEAR 1998 TO 2000.THE 3.0 ENGINE WILL GO FROM YEAR 2000 TO 2005.
