ECU How to reset ECU

You cant. It controls everything required for the engine to run. Timing, fuel, air etc.

You can't program it unless you have a factory scan tool , this is dealer only .

You can remove the fuse for the ECU or remove the battery for 10 mins or so ,should do the job. You probably have to drive the car through all its gears at varying revs before the ECU gets a chance to re-learn it'self

Before you reset the ECU again, have the trouble codes read so you can get an idea of where to look.

attach any scan tool then push ECU reset.
if desperate
pull battery neg lug for 5m, and put back.
this bat pull, also resets all things, even things not wanted.
radio, alarm., remote start bs box, and other things.

the ECU on many cars calibrate the TPS, when freshly booted.
so reset the ecu.

ecu can be reset by disconnecting battery. this is likely not your problem..

The ECU will not have anything to do with those issues. ECU or ECM is for "engine control module/unit". Sounds like you have a bad wire.

normaly the ecu resets when the car is not running and u lock the doors wait 5 mins this normaly resets this
