Make sure your spark plug is not fouled and the gap is correct, also air filter is properly cleaned. If it still wont idle, locate the idle adjustment on the carb. There are 2 screw type adjustments there, one is the idle/air screw and the other is idle adjustment which is the one you want. Start the bike and warm.it up, slowly turn the idle adj. Inward like tightening a bolt, periodically give the engine a slight rev and let it idle.down. Do this until you reach the desired rpm you want to idle at and your finished

Try adjusting the idle screw on the side of the carb. If this don't work you need to clean the carb the pilot key is blocked. Regards Jom...

My new homelight leaf blower either revs too much or stops it wont idle it is the cheap model and I cant see any screws for adjustment.

idle should be adjustable , but if it was purchased in the u s of a since 2012 then sorry it's got a C.A.R.B. type carb on it ( google that acronym) and sorry fuel mixtures are not adjustable anymore the clean air folks took care of that for us! I thank them everyday for looking out for us all .

look on top of carb right next to cam that moves when you press throttle down , there you'll see a very small screw that's your idle adjustment

Float adjustment wont idle

the floats dont often go out of adjustment, as the float needle has a rubber tip that doesent wear,
If the carb doesnt drip fuel, the level is probably ok
first try air cleaner, spark plug, dirt in idle jet or carb, tight valve clearances.

2007 ttr 125 wont start unless hand is over the back of carb. also wont idle.At mid and high range it runs fine. There are no air leaks and no adjustment screw for the air/idle just a factory plug.

Time for carb cleaning, blow the jets with compressed air and check the fuel level in the float chamber, adjust if necessary.
Tht factory plug is where the air-mixture screw is and tht plug has been kept there for non tampering!
That screw is factory set.
Basically its the primary jet which is a problem in your bike's carb, but all in all might as well blow both of them.
Hope this helps!

Honda cr 125 1997 wont idle

Your carberautor is either gummed up or needs to be adjusted. Begin by going to an auto zone or similar store and gatting a can of carb. cleaner that gets added to your gas. Be sure to follow the instructions on how much you add per gallon. let that run through your bike for a while and see where you are. If cleaning the carb. doesn't hellp, then the carb. will have to be adjusted.
