SOURCE: fuel mixture screw

Begin by screwing the mixture screw in all the way until it stopps,,,but ONLY JUST STOPS,,,,,DONT FORCE IT,,,then look at the top of the screw slot,,and call that 12 oclock,,,now turn the screw out to you three full turns going through 12oclock,,that means 12 to 12 is one turn.

then start the bike,,,finish your adjustments now by slowley turning the screw outwards until the engine starts to misfire,,,at this point turn the screw back in one half to three quarters of a turn. Now you have the mixture set roughly.
For fine tuning,, you need to use a monometer while turning the mixture screw
Best of luck...

SOURCE: where is the air/fuel mixture scrue?

i'm not too familiar with dirtbikes but my experience with street bikes it has been on the underside of the carbs and if stock it is typically covered by a brass plug. this plug is just there to satisfy the epa you need to drill it out but be careful the screw is directly underneath the plug so as soon as you break thru pull back then use a screw to extract the plug. hope this is the answer you are looking for.

SOURCE: i have a 2002 CR 125. Runs great but has black

The mixture screw is used to get the transition from idle to throttle up smooth, and not to bog.
Sounds like your jetting is to rich, or too big. Read your plug as it's probably black. Then go smaller on your pilot jet, run it and read it again. Make sure you run 32:1 mix, and jet the bike to match this.

SOURCE: air fuel mixture adjustment 04 honda 125 innova anf

the jetting should not be a problem, perhaps the air cleaner element is dirty or the element even if it looks ok sometimes needs a new one, the smaller motors often rely on the right intake vacumn through the filter for the carbs to work as designed

What, other than plugs, wires , cap and rotor would be causing loss of power on acceleration, but not all the time,, intermittently.

There is a vacuum advance attached to the distributor. Inside the vacuum advance is a rubber diaphragm that can crack from age an no longer work. Sometimes the vacuum hose that attaches to it may not be getting proper vacuum. This device adjusts your timing when you accelerate. Improper function could cause the problems you describe. Also, a vacuum leak in any of your vacuum system could cause the problem your describing. Too much air intake on take off from a faulty vacuum system could throw off your air fuel mixture on acceleration causing hesitation until the air fuel mixture can catch up which is when the power comes back. Hope this helps.

I HAVE A 91 SEDAN DEVILLE.4.9 PORT FUEL INJECTION V8. I HAVE PLENTY OF ACCELERATION FROM STOP TO 20-30MPH. BUT WHEN I AM AT ANY CRUISE SPEED AND STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR IT HESITATES AND DOES NOT...

Sounds like a malfunctioning egr system. Too much egr gasses at once will lean out the air fuel mixture and cause hesitation in an engine. Just my 2 cents.

Acceleration and High Revs not as responsive.

1/When it start to happen was your fuel low on fuel level. Have you ever clean out your fuel tank or replace fuel filter before in the last 2-3 years?
2/Have you use your choke to test if the ideal fuel ratio is on either side of good burning mixture?
3/It sounds your jets are clogged, one way is to use a Fuel injector/carb cleaner mixed into your fuel system, where in the beginning try to use about double the recommended mixture ratio (25ml to 5L fuel), ride the bike for about a week then reduce the ratio to recommended ratio for another week then everytime you refuel use the same ratio for 3 times refuelling and see if that resolve your problem. Good?

Car hesitation from take off

No idea what car it is or the year..
It could be that the carb is needing to be cleaned and/or adjusted for fuel/air mixture..
Good plugs & wires is also a good idea..
Could also be a fuel pump or filter issue..
Could also be a vacuum or pvc valve issue..
Several things can cause a hesitation..

Have problems starting yamaha xvs 1100 dragstar slugish on acceleration until warmed up 10 min + backfires on deceleration and when letting off gas

Hi there fellow XVS dragstar owner!

I had the same problem before. It is usually caused by the wrong jets installed. have it Replaced with the standard jets that came with it... this will solve the problem on acceleration. Make sure the fuel and air mixture knob is set to 2.5 turns-out from full close. clean the spark plugs.. better, replace it with a new one to ensure clean burning of fuel. also, use unleaded gas. this burns better.

hope this helps
