Squeak from the back end.

New to the forum here

I have the exact same problem. I was fine until I had the belt replace and now in 2nd gear and up it squeaks but only while accelerating and it doesn't seem to matter how fast I am accelerating. It is not present while I am coasting or have the clutch lever pulled. When I down shift it now makes a high pitch chirp.

But hoping I could get a little help.I get a very loud squeak from what seems to be the back end of the bike under power. I don't notice it in first gear but 2nd and up I hear the squeak that is very loud. It is not a constant squeak but a jumpy one that seems to match the engine vibrations (as in it seems to squeak every time a cylinder fires) but only under power.I just put on new rubber on the back end last night and I left every guard off and it didn't change assuming that I have guards rubbing and squeaking but apparently not the case. Now what I find to be very interesting is that it is not always there. Case in point: Almost a month ago, I got caught in a pretty good rain storm. It didn't squeak again until I washed it. After I washed the bike, it never really went away until I ride for a while. Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention that the squeaking never really stays for a whole ride, just the start of it (10-20 minutes?)Is this a symptom of the wheel bearings going or do I have a problem with my belt drive? The bike is a 2003 XB9R and I know that there have been problems with the belt on some (not being strong enough) but from what I can tell, the belt looks imaculate for being 5 years old.Any ideas before I start throwing money at it until it gets figured out?,1. the belt will not squeak, so it's not that. 2. this is hard to figure out online.3. is it while riding constant or during normal/hard acceleration?,,,

FRONT END SUSPENSION Squeak

It is hard to tell with out more detail as to what makes it squeak. Does it squeak when you hit a bump, or while the vehicle is in motion? To test your struts simply push down on each front corner (above or next to headlight)as to rock the vehicle up and down. Pick a solid part as to not dent it. This is a good way to test your struts. If it goes up in a stiff motion(not rocking) its probably good. If it goes up and down easily and has a lot of play then your struts might need changes. The squeak could also be sway bar bushings as well. If it only squeaks when your in motion it could be your cv axle. If you are still in need please post more detail as to better diagnose the issue.

My Nordictrack E9.0 Elliptical machine has a loud squeek

I have found a possible source for your squeak. I have the same elliptical and had an annoying squeak in the front end of the machine. The squeak could be coming from the roller arm flex bracket and/or the pedal arm flex bracket. These brackets are secured to the front of the roller arms and the pedal arms with a single bolt. Tightening these bolts may help get rid of the squeak. If you don't have your manual, you can download the manual at the nordictrack website. The manual will have an exploded drawing of the elliptical. The roller arm bracket and the pedal arm bracket are numbered 135 and 136 and you will see which bolt I am talking about. I have had numerous issues with my elliptical but after changing some parts under warranty, it is working like new. Good luck.

MY BACK BRAKES SQUICK

If is is a metal to metal squeak, you need new brake pads or shoes, which ever it uses.. It is now 8 and a set of brakes all around is most likely in order. If you do not drive it much, and it is not a metal to metal squeak, you need to get some anti squeak gunk squirted between the back of the pads and the caliper, and the rotors resurfaced. The labor to do this is the same as new brakes, so see above.

I have a 1997 F-150 I have a bad squeak coming from the fron end

Most of the posts on the F150 boards indicate the problem is usually with the control arm bushings. I was dreading spending that much money to get rid of a squeak, but got lucky. Installing a new set of shocks, which I needed anyway, solved my squeak problem.

Recurring Front end squeak in 97 Acura CL

lol, well...you can either go the route of the previous persons solution or you can- if you are positive the sqeak is coming from the ball joints-spray some WD-40 on it. I wouldnt suggest replacing it again, since you just did it and chances are there is nothing wrong with the integrity of the part, your just getting an annoying byproduct lol. Like when belts sqeak(which p's me off but i just turn my radio up lol).
