a jump box is nothing more then a battery with leads on it so where are you connecting it verses the new battery you put in the bike. that doesn't make since unless you are connecting the box right to the starter motor then it be constently running the motor untill you unhooked it. check all your fuses and examine all wire harnesses for damage, burns, or any mellting.

It sounds like you have a poor ground connection. You'll have to disassemble and check the wiring harness for broken wires, start up near the ignition switch or around anything that is no longer stock on the bike (like aftermarket turn signals, fuel nanny, power commander, etc.)

the fuse for the back light is located under the seat, its a little black box with a flip up lid. on the inside of the lid, it will show what fuse is for what componant and the amps..

the fuse box is under neath the left side cover as in on the left side when you are setting on the bike it is the fuse that says signals i beleive it is a 15 amp fuse.
