You need to buy a repair manual as not too many people give free electrical schematic. Can try Haynes or Clymers.

is this the one that kick in at a higher rpm to burn more gasses while running at speed? is it not running as it should, are you having an issue other than it doesnt do what you thought it should. No spark in rear cylinder or just on the one plug out of the two? If all is checking out as you said its got to spark.trade the coil thats on one with that other one see if the trouble is the same or moved with the coil to its new location.coil may work but not be good enough to run.

There is usually a kill button on all motorcycles, make sure it is reset. Also make sure you have the gas turned on. Good luck!

Replace the spark plug caps and try again. On Honda's the cap is often part of the wire (a dealer part) NGK makes some inexpensive plug caps about $5 each. They should OHM out to 5000 anything above or below and you need to replace them. This should fix the problem.

SOURCE: 84 honda shadow front running lights replacement:

As the wiring on aftermarket signals is not standardized, you will need to determine which wires are ground, running, and turn respectively. If you can disassemble the signal, the ground will be connected to the outside of the socket, and the other two will be running and turn. If you cannot disassemble the signal, or have access to a multimeter, you can determine which wire is ground by checking continuity between the outer socket and wires. Your stock green wire is the ground, and the orange/white is running light. If when you hook the wires up, your running light is brighter than the turn signal, switch the leads.
Hope this helps.

The left rear blinker works but the parking light doesn't and it's not the bulb?

Hi, Bill before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced you OEM lights with LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity. I installed a factory trailer wiring harness on my 2008 Honda Ridgeline. The tester Shows everything OK at 7 pin outlet. When I hook up trailer the only thing that works is the brakes. When I hook to

There's a few ways to check the trailer lights and wiring. You can check with a volt meter (or test light), at the bulb contact point. Is there 12 volts? If not, work your way down the wire toward the harness plug pins. While your in there, see if the bulb is blown. If on the roadside, or just not near a voltmeter (or test light), see if you can swap wires at the trailer harness plug. Sometimes they disconnect easily. Swap a wire with the brake lights' wire. Do those other lights work when you push the brake pedal?

Hi, Anonymous before testing any electrical component in the Light Circuit it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test because your battery may have 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amps causing the battery to be faulty and must be replaced, especially "AGM" batteries, also before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced your OEM lights with one or all LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer.
If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion.
If all four turn signals flash at the same time like hazard lights even though you only pressed one turn signal button then you have a LED light in the circuit and need a load equalizer that can be purchased from any motorcycle parts supplier.

2005 Honda VT 750 Shadow Aero license plate light and tail light not working

Hi, Anonymous tail light issues are relatively easy to diagnose and repair always check the tail light fuse first and make sure you have power on both sides of the fuse holder and the usual suspects are:
1. Tail light bulb element is broken.
2. Tail light bulb soldered contacts are extremely worn down.
3. Tail light bulb socket corroded.
4. Tail light bulb socket has no power and or ground.
5. Tail light wiring harness damaged from the rear tire.
6. Tail light rear fender wiring harness connector faulty due to corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets.
