Something like that happens, firstly we suspect the powersupply unit, as the CPU fan not running and PC starts and stops like not enough power going through the mother board. Try replacing the powersupply unit from a friend's PC to check if the powersupply is the culprit.Cheers.

Boots up but only runs for about a minute. Then fan runs at full speed constantly with no video. Also front panel popwer switch appears shorted. i.e as soon as you plug in the PC starts

Very well could be overheating or powersupply problem. Most Definately Hardware related. You can try opening up the case and blowing air into it from compressor. (Make sure to do this outside away from clean items). Also, check CPU fan and heatsink to make sure fairly clean. CPU fan may also be old and need to be replaced. Don't put case back on and try again. Look at CPU fan to see if moving (or struggling). If computer stays on longer then CPU fan most likely the problem. If off in same time as before then most likely the main power supply problem, in which case the only way to check this is to replace the power supply. Hope this helps, Best Regards,

My DC5000 SFF turns on okay then switches off randomly Help!!

Which fan are you referring to? As far as I know the fan in the power supply runs at the same speed at all times. So if that is the fan you are hearing it may indicate that the power supply is failing. The power supply may be over heating and shutting down. I would try a different power supply if you can get your hands on one.

Computer keeps restarting in safe mode, and will recovery, or after recovery screen come-up, start computer in safe mode or start windows normally, when choosing one computer restarts the process over

This might be caused by the adware /spyware or any tro.. virus. pl check the sys32 folder in safe mode. and go to msconfig ->startup tab and disable all and reinstall the sys. sys will be bootedup. if fails then reinstall the OS.

Pc switches off on its own

sounds like a power supply problem, or an overheating problem. Is the cpu case expelling hot air? open the case verify that is has at least 1 working cpu fan. It should also have at least 1 other fan inside the chassis.
