2003 Harley Davidson FLHRCI Road King Classic Logo

Exhaust I will be recieving my new Road King Classic in Mar of this year. I love the nostalgic look of the bike and want to keep that first and foremost. I would however like to put a louder exhaust system, something that will keep me from getting side swiped by a car but not so loud that I cant enjoy the ride. I have read that you lose power with the true dual system, which from what I have heard is somewhat lacking already. I dont care about getting from red light to red light as fast as possible but I do want to be able to get around a car if I have to. So after all that, what recomendation would you others out there give a newbie like me? Keep the stock head pipes and go with a slip on? Or go ahead and spend the extra bucks and go with the true dual system? Or simply keep the entire stock exhaust system? Thanks in advance for the info.

I am very pleased with my modifications on my Road King Classic, and to tell you the truth, I have "invested" the months, almost the years, in order to get perfect combination (from my point of view). So, here is my recommendation: 1. Stock pipes 2. Wild Pig Pipes/mufflers/slip ons (1 3/4" baffles - not too loud, 2" baffles - quite loud) 3. Screamin' Eagle Stage One Kit (read as: more air) 4. DFO (Digital Fuel Optimizer) to adjust everything, to "help" all new parts to work in harmony. Adjustment will be done via producer's web site, in co-operation with very kind people from Dobeck Performance Forum. Also, I have to emphasize that I did everything taking into account affordable prices. Hope this helps.

2008 HD Road King Classic: Running lights work, but brake/blinker lights do not.

Do you have a security system on this bike? If so, has the bike been hit or laid down? If not---

Check fuses and circuit breakers to ensure they are good.

2002 road king classic keeps stalling when i come to a stop and there is some backfire as well . when i first start up the bike it will idle .

If your bike is fuel injected, there is nothing you can do. You must take it to a shop and let them set the idle speed. If it's equipped with a carb, remove the air cleaner cover and look at the square top on the carb. Just to the right of that cover is a screw, the throttle stop screw. Turn this screw clockwise to increase the idle speed. It should idle at about 1000 RPM.

Good Luck

2008 road king classic(FLHRCI) has fob alarm problem. I have insert code 31313 and did not have able to reset or disarm. Charged battery full. please help

You may need to take the bike to a dealer and if they can get the alarm deactivated then re-program the fob and reset the PIN otherwise you need a new TSM/TSSM and have the fob assigned and a new PIN assigned.

2005 FLHRS - FLHRSI Road King Custom: did the 05 road king classic come with or could be...

You could have the dealership install the 103 CI kit if you like but no it didnt come from the factory with that engine in it already, only the CVO bikes such as the FLHRSE and FLHRSEI came with the 103 CI motor installed from the factory.

Harley won't start.

A harley AGM battery are usaully good for three to five years the best thing to do is have the battery load tested. Now as far as your problem now depending on the batterys state of charge the solenoid will click or not.Because you store it alot you should keep a trickle charger on the battery

Exhaust smell at any speed on my harley davidson road king classic, exhaust system was checked and no apparent leaks

sounds like you need to replace the exhaust gaskets if you replaced the exhaust or even took it off to check. these metal gaskets crush when installed.
