2002 Honda Accord. No history of starting problems with car. Attempted starting this AM, engine turned over fine but would not start. I could smell fuel. After cranking engine repeatedly it acted like it wanted to start and finally did. Once started it ran fine with no loss of power. After shutting off engine it was restarted with out difficulty. Is there a temp. sending unit that could be malfunctioning telling the engine computer that the car is already warm? Any suggestions appreciated. I am letting the car cool off to see if the same problem happens again.

You will, a cold start problem that is.
By American it is the last thing we produce, everything else is imported.
Sorry you took offense, just stated fact.
Since car starts buut is hard to, this narrows it down.
How long has it been since a tune-up? This problem occurs most when tune-up is needed.
You are smelling fuel because it is flooding with fuel. Check for a air intake restriction (filter,hose,etc.).
Or, take it to your mechanic, only probable charge you may occur is for a tune-up.

Thanks rtaylo47 for that totally useless "Solution". This is my first time to use this site and I can see it's a waist of time.
