See this article for adjusting V-Star 1100 TPS
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-KrKk_YXL4TRk1vU3lkaW9zM0U/edit?pli=1

The TPS has tamper proof screws but Harbor Freight has a 100 piece set with the right driver for only $8.99

SOURCE: V-star 650 yahama 2009 to much clutch play

There is a clutch linkage kit you can purchase which will take the "**** " out. It is mounts between the end of the clutch cable and the transmission. I have one on my bike and love it. Easy to adjust and customizes the clutch to you.

SOURCE: car hesitation from take off

No idea what car it is or the year..
It could be that the carb is needing to be cleaned and/or adjusted for fuel/air mixture..
Good plugs & wires is also a good idea..
Could also be a fuel pump or filter issue..
Could also be a vacuum or pvc valve issue..
Several things can cause a hesitation..

SOURCE: Need step by step how to synchronize carbs on 1982 yahama xj 1100

It doesn't really matter which make or model of bike it is, the procedure is exactly the same.
Firstly you will need a set of vacuum balance tubes - do you have those?
TRying to balance a 4 without is an exercise in futility. They are reasonably cheap for a home set.
Here is a step-by-step.

This sounds lean, from your description. The best way to set it is with an exhaust analyzer... Be sure to look for intake leaks also.

Allen screw? most carbs use either a flathead or JIS screw for the carb drain plug. It's on the bottom of the carburetor bowl.

Hi, Anonymous your starter motor is not the problem it's the starter drive/Bendix/clutch which is a mechanical gear driven component that engages the clutch pack ring gear to turn over the engine. It has an internal mechanism that allows the gear to turn in one direction and once the engine starts allows the drive gear to free spin. If gear free spins in both directions then the drive gear has failed, it is not serviceable and needs to be replaced. 2006 Yamaha V-Star Silverado 1100. Once the engine has been ran for a while, the idle becomes high, and it begins to overheat. What can it be?

sounds like a carb problem(running lean/not getting enough fuel) and or your valve clearances need attention.

2006 v star 1100. 1500 miles. this bike had new

The excess fuel is caused by the float levels being out of adjustment. Fix the floats and the dead spot may disappear. If not, pull the slides and then move the jet needle clip down one notch. With due respect, I would put the bike carbs back to stock. :)
