SOURCE: Yamaha DT 125 1986 - High Revs when idling

There have an air leak between the carb and the cylinder and/or the head and cylinder. Old hard / cracked rubber fittings and O rings are usually the problem. When extra air gets into the system it leans the fuel mix and the high idle is the result. It also means the engine runs hotter. Also, cracked or broken reeds can be a source.

SOURCE: Yamaha TTR 125 L won't idle

i cleaned the carb on the bike and put it back together and now it is as if the float is stuck open and is just dumping gas out of the carb all over the ground.

How to adjust pilot jet on 2005 yamaha 125

There is no adjustment. It's a fixed jet and must be cleared with a cleaner or replaced if it doesn't clear. It's a very tiny jet. If you mean the idle mixture screw, just warm up the bike and adjust to the smoothest setting.

I have a 1983 Yamaha DT125K On/off road motorcycle. I just rebuilt carb although when it is running it idles fine. If I increase RPM the motor begins to starve. I am assuming the float is not set...

Yes, check float level, also make sure the slide needle is anchored under the return spring. Also check the air mixture screw. start by turning idle mixture screw in until it seats,(lightly), then turn it out 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 turns. While engine is idling, turn the screw in or out to achieve the fastest rpm, re-set idle to normal

How do I adjust my carb on 2005 ttr 125

First of all, assuming that the float level is correctly set, while running the engine at idle, turn the idle adjust screw in until it starts to get rough(pay close attention). Then back the screw out 1/8- 1/4 turn. If the screw has been removed, always start by tightening the screw all the way in and then back it out 2 1/2 turns.
