1993 Wrangler 4.0 Randomly My clutch pedal will not go in.

I Have a 93 YJ and just last night i started to have problems. I'm going down the rooad and o want to switch gears but the clutch will not depress. if fells liek there is a brick under the pedal. If I wiggle the stick around and try to force a gear the clutch pedal eventually releases. Whats the deal?

I HAD THIS PROBLEM IN MY 93 YJ, TURNED OUT TO BE AN INTERNAL FAILURE OF THE ACTUAL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ITSELF (THE ONE NEXT TO THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER) IT HAS A "PISTON" TO ACTUALLY PUSH THE FLUID DOWN BELOW TO THE THROWOUT BEARING. AND IT WOULD GET JAMMED IN THERE. I REPLACED THE WHOLE UNTIL FOR $60 I BELIEVE AND HAVENT HAD A PROBLEM SINCE.
BEST OF LUCK

I can't remember if that year has a clutch master cylinder or not. Check to see if it does, it will be next to the brake master cylinder, and look like a single round silver dollar sized vesle. To the left of your brake master cylinder. check if its bone dry, if so refill it.

if this is not the case and it does not have a master cylinder, you need to check your clutch out.

91 jeep wrangler YJ shifting problems

do you mean it wont go into gear ? if so what gears ? it could be the clutch going out , if the pedal is soft or easy to push down than it probably needs a clutch. next time it wont go into gear try pumping the clutch or putting it from 2nd to 1st or what ever gear it has problems with

Jeep YJ stalls while clutch is depressed

thrust bearings are bad and the flywheel is moving out of range of the crankshaft sensor, or the crankshaft sensor is sitting too close to the flywheel.

I havent been having any problems but when I try to start my jeep,it's not turning over at all.I have lights..I had the battery checked at a Parts store and it's good.It won't boost off but I can push it...

You should have a switch on the clutch pedal under the dash. easy to test,,,just jump across it and see if it starts (only with trans in neutral and your foot on the clutch because it can start in gear when jumped) You also have a relay in the power distribution center and a fuse as well. Relay test is simple...most of the relays are the same so just swap positions. You should also check to make sure power is getting to the starter...12v at main connection and 12v at the small connection with the key turned to the start position (again in neutral and at least have the brake on) If you have power at the starter, likely it has failed. Don't forget...ignition switch needs to be working as well.

I had a fire in the engine of my 93 yj 4 cyl i need to replace the engine wiring harness can it be replaced with the wiring harness from jeeps of other years

I would really try to get the same year and motor as you have. There is some much that often changes from year to year, and engine to engine.
